I would like to see a real world demo of this product Edit: I got in contact with them in late March and all they did was send me a video of demo unit and list some specs. Never got a physical location where I could see one for myself.
Where are you located? we could have some booth near you that you can visit to check. Mroe often they are for office use as meeting pods and phone booths. Drum for demo.
@@silencebooth6735 I am not saying I don't believe in this product or the people running it (per se), but there is a chance that someone is lowering the volume of the speaker. It's cool though. Even if you proved to me that this is not happening with the speaker, drums are way louder than a Bluetooth/corded speaker
All types of products need their ways to show how they work. Products are made to meet the needs of customers. This silence booth is designed to create better environment for workplace. it is a concept and the drum is to show a certain soundproof effect. It is more for an office use like phone call and private meeting.
When you play behind a shield the sound gets reflected back and it's fairly deafening, so most people would drop their volume, that being said the stick height clearly changes. It would be a much more honest test if they used an amp in the room and played the same sample twice.
I think it's because it fulfilled a different porpose, maybe when the door is closed it's being used as a ride cymbal or the bell thing is being used but when the door opened it is being used as a crash, idk. And i'm not trying to defend them or anything, just saying what I think it is

People saying he just changes his dynamics have prob never been in the same room as a drummer playing at even 1/3 their full power, or just going along with everyone else. Even when the guy at my local church plays softly, you can still hear it clearly across the room. You can’t fake these acoustics just by hitting softer, and it also doesn’t explain the actual muffling of the sound. The soundproofing here is the real deal.
This is very nice. I have 2 points: 1) can you make a similar video for an upright piano? 2) it would be REALLY helpful if you make a video where you measure the sound pressure level inside, and outside the booth at the same time and preferably for several frequencies. Such a SoundBox booth can be a very good solution for my acoustic piano, but then I really have to see measurements first.
well he clearly changes his dynamics but even with that power, that kit should sound loud. never seen one of these booths before but I think they serve as they should.
Have Kenny Aronoff demonstrate it where he’s verifiably not altering the power of his strokes and have it be that quiet with the door shut. I’ll order one the same day if so.
Those are all silent mesh heads and silent cymbals, the drum sounds come from a speaker playing a drum track, everytime he closes the door, someone brings down the speaker volume
