I don't have a favorite but I don't have a less favorite. all I know is you rdavidr are a drum genius. you come up with the best ideas for drums and drumming I have ever seen. you have saved me money by using some of your ideas and the best part is they work.

1 Tip for Sugru is to store it in the Freezer, it has a shelf life and storing it in the freezer extends it massively. I still a couple boxes of Sugru in my freezer from when I bought like 5 boxes 6 Years ago and believe it or not it still works just as well as it did when I bought it. I actually just tried the "practice tips" for the sticks on my Rockband Drum Kit to stop the loud crack sound when playing and it works great. Can't believe I never thought of that before. 👍👍

I love the whole practice stick idea! I play tenors for my highschool band and tenor practice pads are expensive, so this is a really cheap way to be quiet and still be able to practice

My favorite was the key holder on the hi-hat stand, but I wonder how well the shape holds up after the stand being in a hardware bag.

yeah, i love just the little innovative things. you could do what you did for the hi hat key stand, but bigger on your kick drum to hold sticks steady, or even on the side of your floor tom at some weird angle would be very handy. The idea of cymbal sleeves is good, but it might take a lot of damage, so i reckon it would make better felts, which you could make bigger depending on how dampening you want them to be. separators for cymbal stacks, just to keep contact points healthy. it might roll out thin to make a nice kick beater pad/ dampener. You could easily fashion or attach cable holders/ hooks for multicores to keep them nice and tidy. Depending on the reverb coefficient, it might be a healthy alternative to neoprene for mic stand dampening for the feet, if not at least an easy replacement mic stand feet that always go bloody missing! if you wanna delve deeper into this kind of brain fart let me know, i'll happily indulge you via email!

First of all... Holy damn your technique is amazing! That test on the table frikkin' blew me away haha! But to the point. I'm curious about your bass drum pedal... It looks like a sort of frankenstein pedal, made with parts from different companies. Could you tell me (or make a video) about it, the base of it, what changes you made etc? Really love it and I'm curious! Keep up the awesome work!

I actually used Sugru on one of my sticks, where the nylon tip kept popping off as I played. It worked surprisingly well.

I just came up with an idea. Put Sugru on the plastic side of your bass drum beater. I bet it will provide a nice attack and won't damage the head like plastic does.

I did the drum key one and it is great, also did it for my drum sticks on this CD holder hanging on my wall next to my drum set and I love it it's very handy to have my sticks there

You could wrap sugru around your cymbal arms where cymbal sleeves usually go!

Use it on cymbal sleeves as a perniment cymbal felt

The only place I've ever kept my drum keys is on the tension screw of either the snare or floor tom. Never had 'em bounce off, ever. I have a small leather bag that I carry extra's in(foot pedal springs, white grease, multi tool, cymbal stand wing nut screws, drum keys, et al) that never leaves the trap case except when I set up for the job. Your vids seem a little over the top for me, but interesting concepts at least.

Gently rub Sugru with wet finger gives a Pro finish. Or use a piece of wet rough cloth or fine grill to structure the surface.

Hey, these ones are just great. Could you make cymbal sleeves\felts out of Sugru? There is some product like this, that acts like a sleeve and a felt as one - you just put it through a mounting hole of a cymbal and put the thing on a bare stand with just a washer. Also - dampeners for drums/cowbell? Some kind of tune lock (if it's strong enough)? Tips for floor tom legs? Maybe, even crazy shaped wingnuts for cymbal stands? Also - grats on the new hats!

Sugru custom earplugs or custom ear tips would be an awesome video!

My drum key came with a rubber band in the whole so I just hang on on my drum

Lol it sounds like your saying "Subaru" and throws me off every time. But its cool how you found so many uses for it. Thank you! Edit: my favorite hack was the drum key holder.. I got one of those super lightweight tweek drum keys... it mounts to a 1in tube and is made of a mixture of nylon and other materials for durability. Also my mom bought me a drum key shaped like a cross on a necklace lol.. just because she knows how terrible I am at losing drum keys.

I love your videos , and your Humor , To hold my drum keys and sweat rags and other junk, I use a cheap tag sale fanny pack. I put it around the floor tom. Works pretty well for me . The only problem is when I go hiking,now I have to carry the drum with me !

Tip, when going to a gig, bring at LEAST 5 drum keys You will lose all of them

I actually bought some black Sugru to use on an old throne repair job. It's an old Ludwig portathrone and the rubber tips on the legs are really torn up, so Here's hoping I can fix them with Sugru!

i took chad smiths tip to put velcro around the key and then stick the other park to the bass drum, so youll never lose the key again, but the magnet idea might be better

This stuff might work for bass drum claws. I noticed yours are padded against the hoop. My brand-spankin" new Catalina Club is not. I've been looking for something to use. I think I just found it! Yay!

Or you can do what I did, cut a strip of peg board and put a few hooks in it and hang it close to your kit, I have a full rack with left and right side extensions, so I took some fishing line and hung the peg board that I painted to match my kit at the end of my left side extension,so now I don't lose drum keys anymore.
