Pretty solid man! Try to put a little more space between those ghost notes you're doing on the snare, really feel the sixteenth note subdivision as you play it, rather than just trying to imitate a certain sound. Also, if you loosen up your grip a little bit you'll be able to get more rebound off the drums and your fills will feel more fluid. Finally I would also recommend raising your snare stand so you can hit rim shots, that'll make you sound a lot better. Keep practicing, you're making progress!
You are pretty fine but I highly recommend you to slow down and put the feeling in the first place. Try to feel your groove try to make it catchy and love it. You don’t have to play overcomplicated things to get that stank face just slow down and do some experiments. Like what if I make a pause right here or what if I put the snare accent one sixteenth note later and so on. The most important do not stop posting on social media it’s really useful for you to see that progress you went through. Love your stuff man keep going :))
Drums isn’t just about playing fast, you should also consider articulation. I think slow down and focus on your techniques first. Also practice rudiments to add more variety to your playing.
I agree completely, mind you I haven't been playing this instrument for a long time so I assumed this was kinda impressive. I still need to learn a lot and articulation is definitely something I've slept on, anyways I always appreciate criticism and thank you for leaving a comment.
@@7ustjunky558 yep, can tell you are new, that’s why I said speed isn’t everything. We all want to go quick at the start! All drummers go through that. Speed is nothing without precision and articulation. Keep working hard dude, I’m glad you chose to learn drums!!
Very glad people are helpin in here instead of talkin shit. That "FUCK" at the end, I do the same shit bro. My advice is to tighten up the base to snare hits, maybe try a buzz roll on the snare every now n then. Keep jammin'. Instasub.
