I took a few private lessons from Jost a couple of years ago. We live in the same city and it also turned out we had a similar friends circle. He is a wholesome dude too. What impresses me most is his effortless and sort of weightlessness drumming. He's all about tone and feel. It's a whole other world when sitting next to him and actually watch/hear/see im him play. An amazing dude for sure!

Amazing drum solo.

Nice stuff here.Interesting hands.Very artistic open technique with French and german grip constantly changing.

I have Jost on a couple of CDs by a band called Triton. German fusion. He kills on them!

This guy can put 5 lbs of s--t into a one pound bag. I had to stop and rewind every time Gar would Wow cause this drummer used so many techniques and little and big fills and beats I had to pay attention to right hand left hand bass pedal and high hat cause there was so much there there. A zillion years ago Joe Morello tried to impart to me to use the drums like a musical instrument rather then just flashy drum machine. I have tried to do this often but this guy has clearly mastered that approach to drumming. He gets very fine motor movements to accelerate the phrase from fast to slow simple to complex effortlessly. Very impressive.
