Part of the long video he talks about altering songs when playing live. Coming up with more interesting parts as he has more time to sit with a finished song
I love that he does this. And it isn't just 1 studio version and then 1 live version he worked on before the tour. He is constantly evolving pretty much every single song. A good example of this is Higher, since it is an older track. Check a few playthroughs and live performances from over the years. You can see/hear it gradually changing.
Shout out to Arizona boys. If you look at it, most of his cymbals are Effects cymbals. So expressive. Ziljian started in 1623, oldest continuous running musical instrument company. Neat stuff guys. The full interview is a must, not a lot of talking.... most of the time is playing.
Thanks, Matt! We'll check out privately. But out of curiosity, would you watch an hour-long reaction? We've done a full concert and an album review which were an hour, but would appreciate your sanity check. Thank you!!
@@AayJayEmm We love hearing from you, so thanks for sharing your thoughts!!! This is SO good to know...and you are right, Matt definitely makes any video better, he's awesome!!!
@@musikbyjh I'll keep my fingers crossed!! I'd say my knowledge/understanding of drumming is roughly similar to yours (Jeremy). So whenever you ask Matt to explain something in more detail, it is usually exactly what I'm thinking! Perfect haha.
I knew I had missed something! When it got to his solo, I found that my head was rolling with the Toms. Also, did I hear rim shots and closed High Hat hits? Just trying to figure out if I’m learning anything. This was really great to listen to. You guys are full of knowledge! 🎶 Cyd
Really enjoyed watching this specially with the perspective of a drummer!! Thank you so much for making this video, always loving the sleep token videos from you 🤍
Awesome drummer & great reaction - on the Sleep Token vibe .... have yiu guys done any of "Delta Empire" - another masked drummer with some serious chops ( his cover of "Perfect Drug" is amazing & would love to hear what u's think)
@@musikbyjhi was skeptic for a sec. But in the record credit there are actually the Vessel(Singer) and II names on it cus it's only them writing the stuff
@@musikbyjh Vessel still uses a robotic voice, and II just uses a voice filter in the drumeo interview. There are no video interviews of III or IV speaking. Plenty of people still don't know who they are because they don't look them up and it's discouraged by the fan base, though it is relatively easy to find out.
