Nice Video, but you should connect your protection bracelet to ground or protection earth of mains of course, not to the module! YOU have to be grounded to avoid high voltage on your fingertips ;-)
Thanks for the video. How do you create drumsets now when you can't use the usb function and 2 box editor? I have some nice samples from complete kits but these kits have no cymbals so I would like to add some original 2 box cymbal samples to these kits.
Hello Mike, I am not sure I understand your question when you say "now you can't use the usb function and 2 box editor" With this modification you just take the SD memory card, plug it into your computer and kake all the changes either using the 2box software 2box-drums.com/editor/ or using the third party more powerful (but windows only) drumit manager www.lustark.com/drumit-manager
@@mariocallegaro when I use a 32GB card that does not work when the card is in the module. It also doesn't work when I put the 32 gb card in my laptop. The 2 box editor does not reconize the data. Now I have done some actions in the module itself but for instance add a sound to a rim is not possible then. Where do you use the lustark exactly for? Because what I am looking for is a normal en quick way to change or add some sounds in the different kids, tune some toms etc.
I have a 2BOX Drumit 3 coming & I plan on doing the mod for 32GB. I don’t know much about the operation of the module yet, but I’ve read you shouldn’t/can’t use USB connection after the mod. My question would be how do you record with the sounds inside the module to your DAW if you can’t hook it up by USB? Do you have to just used the 4gb card with the kit you want to use for the project, or is there a work around??
Hi there. I'm amateur in electronics but is there realy need to use this antistatic wristband even that box is not even wired? Is there a way to avoid this for example doing it with the gloves? Thanks!
Hello, I followed many instructions online where the authors swear that you need to use it. It is very cheap so I did not do a lot of research to figure out if i can avoid it What I can tell you is that when I opened the box (unplugged for an hour) I did see super tiny static sparks on my screwdriver tip. Then I remember watching the technicians at iSmash (a UK chain fixing electronics) and they all wear then band. So given the low cost and the ease of getting it, using it, I would rather use it then not.
@@mariocallegaro Thanks for the answer. Could you explain where should i connect the end of it. Should it be something which is grounded? For instance metal pipe water or central heating? Or can it be connected to anything metal except tje module it self?
Anders on his page powerhell.wordpress.com/about/zourman/poor-mans-td-20/equip-2box-with-an-external-accessible-sd-card/ says that 32 is the Max, so I did not try. 32 is plenty as I think it is better to have multiple cards and swap then given the occasion. Interestingly the new DrumIt Five MKII has a 32GB card...
