you'll fall out of your chair, Eloy doesn't use a metronome live and if you notice the song “People=Shit” in the intro Eloy speeds up the way Joey recorded it in the studio without a metronome but the rest of the song is all at the same time. He's a machine, if you want to react to the video of Eloy playing this song in his studio you'll notice what I said.

Let me give you some information, an overview; There's a Brazilian drummer called Kiko Freitas (incredible) who was a student of Dave Weckl. This Kiko Freitas has a method of "internal time development". Kiko Freitas was Aquiles Priester's teacher, and this Aquiles was Eloy Casagrande's teacher. Do you understand where this perfection of time comes from, the "internal time" so developed at Eloy Casagrande? Search for Kiko Freitas videos on RU-vid, it's in Portuguese but just add the app's translator.

Kiko Freitas is an amazing drummer and Aquiles too , it's odvious that the collaborating of these two drum monsters helping each other to be more known to the people.Also Aquiles has and another student i think , Bruno Valverde a replacer for Eloy when he hits his leg to Sepultura tour, Bruno is amazing drummer too!!Maybe something they eat there in Brazil or drink and so many drummers became legends so often.You know what is it??

@@DrumsholicIt all started when Portugal brought african slaves who due to their religions made percussion instruments that were used in their rituals or parties back in Africa, then the more european side of our music like Choro implemented their percussive element/samba into the music... from then on we've also had Bossa Nova which is a mix of jazz and samba. A lot of the music in the north of Brazil that are mainly based on percussive rhythms as well. So since we grow up listening to these different rhythms we kinda have this feel for groove internalized in ourselves making it easier to have good rhythmic sessions' musicians. We also have many good bassists for example. There's a brazilian guitarist youve probably heard abt already named Kiko Loureiro. He gave an interview to Rick Beato on RU-vid where he tells this story better than I did. The US went through the same but Brazil and the US kept different things from the African culture in our cultures mainly due to religion.

slipknot has prided themselves on never using in ear pieces and Eloy prides himself on no metronome. 2 bits of info that changes how u look at their performances. Eloy makes it sound clean, but trust, Jay their previous drummer....shows were all over the place which isnt a bad thing bc we love it but Eloy brings an amazing side out of them and btw look at Corey! He seems inlove w Eloy dude, he always points him out before drum bassed parts and he never did that w Jay or Joey. and Corey loves standing in front of Eloy and watching him which is adorable and relatable lol!
