"Karate" premiered at Yokohama Arena on December 12, 2015. Directed by Daisuke Ninomiya, the music video for "Karate" was released on 18 March 2016. Moa Metal explained that the lyrics are about never giving up and always moving forward, no matter what difficulties need to be endured. Furthermore, Yui Metal described how the dance moves were made to help express the message of the song, as most of the lyrics were in Japanese. Moa Metal expressed that "Karate" is her favorite song in the 2nd album, explaining how "karate has a courtesy: "Start with a bow and end with a bow." This is something important we value in our lives, because we never forget courtesy and a feeling of gratitude wherever we go." Su Metal described the white figures in the video as representing their former selves, expressing the desire to break down barriers by fighting themselves to move forward. Moa Metal added that "karate is obviously a form of martial arts that originated from Japan, so it’s something that she’s very proud of that they are now representing this culture that came from Japan through their music, and it’s a way for more people outside of Japan also to learn what karate is all about." I think i've suggested some non babymetal on the previous reaction. As a drummer however, i suggest babymetal - tales of the destinies. It was only performed once because its that hard to perform. I think you can do the audio one in the youtube.
I enjoy a lot when a musican appreciate music as you do in every babymetal song. The first time I listened to babymetal I was in shock like "how can something like this exist?" but I am a musican myself and I realized how great they are. every song is unique and that is what I like the most, they are not afraid to mix genres and when they do it they do it so nice. I'm gad that a musican like you is reacting to babymetal
Nice reaction!! Thank you again for featuring BM. I think you're very right to watch the music video first. However, live shows are what BABYMETAL is really about, so please watch this one too. It's a rainy download fes. - BABYMETAL-KARATE (live UK Download 2016) Many of BABYMETAL's songs, especially the early ones, are about the feelings of a teenager. As you may have noticed, the person these girls were fighting was themselves. Karate is a song about fighting with myself. And when you see that she is helping her friends who are falling down on the way, it is likely that she is also encouraging them. SUMETAL(vocal&dance) inspires everyone with her powerful and clear voice and her charisma. YUIMETAL(dance&scream) & MOAMETAL(dance&scream) energize everyone with their fierce dancing, shouting and unparalleled cuteness. The audience then cheers for BABYMETAL with chants and interludes as they respond. One for All. All for One. We are The One!! It's the spirit of "The One." Even if tears spill from our eyes, let's confront it! Even if we get sad and unable to stand up. Even if our spirits are broken, let's confront it! Seiya soiya, let's fight on Incidentally,セイヤ(Seiya) and ソイヤ(Soiya) are karate shouts. 押忍(osu) is a 武道(Budo) greeting and response. Since this song is your favorite, I've chosen a few songs. I hope you like them. - BABYMETAL DEATH Legend 1997 (Complete) - メギツネ - MEGITSUNE (OFFICIAL) - DISTORTION live Rock Am Ring 2018 - TATTOO / BABYMETAL I hope you continue to enjoy your BABYMETAL. Put your Kitsune🦊 up! from Japan. (Translation by DeepL)
Plus you haven’t even hit the fan favorites yet They are generally 1. Megitsune 2. Headbanger 3 ijame Dame Zetti 4. Akasuki 5. Is shifting sometimes karate sometimes others My personal favorite is no rain no rainbow and akasuki unfinished
Well, he did reactions to Road of Resistance and Rondo of Nightmare, which are fan favorites as well. But honestly, there are many fan favorites since BM has over 50 songs! LOL! One of my personal favorites that has not been mentioned yet is Amore.
It's insane how many different types of music lovers listen to Babymetal.. it's an all new type of music that I can finally get behind.. I'm a 60 year old rocker that's had a music career for 45 years...
This is one of two or three official videos that are really great to watch, as apposed to the live performances which are generally better to watch. Megitsune and Iine are the other MV's I like, and Iine only for the rap section they don't do live very often.
Great choice for a drum cover. Looking forward to it! This is one of the few Babymetal songs where the studio version is my preference. The Kamiband does a great job as always when this is played live, but their arrangements shift the style a bit and I just like this style better. They do have a nice crowd interaction routine with it, though.
Great reaction! This is a great song and video, and I look forward to hearing your cover of it. Maybe check out the song/live performance of Akatsuki - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-g2372C5PJLM.html It's in my top 3 favorite Babymetal songs, and is a song that has the lead singer performing solo with just the musicians. It really ticks all the boxes for a great song. Heavy music, dueling guitar solos, and an incredible vocal performance by Su-metal. Not to mention lots of FIRE!
That opening djenty riff *kicks ass* tho.... it's tremendous!! I feel cheated that they don't go back into it for a 3rd time after the soft part in the middle tbh. Great video too. :)
This was s my favorite Babymetal song. It’s the one that got me. I heard I want chocolate and Megitsune first and they were ok first listen but they aren’t super metal. Like you I said “ok I’m into this” that guitar riff is mint. BMC is pretty heavy but kind of a rap thing. You might really dig that one.
7:13 Put on your headphone, turn up the volume and listen to that snare drum beats. Awesome song! Great reaction mate! Keep it coming. Don't forget your "Cover song"
⚡ 💀 💕 / 👻 👻 👻 There's a good reason this was the featured single for 'Metal Resistance', the second album. It's heavy, but still has a lot of crossover appeal. Most of their sets these days feature this song.
BABYMETAL fans need to watch at his drum covers. Now I watched half of his video. And I keep looking at the rest. This drummer is making a really good sound!! BABYMETALファンは彼のドラムカバーを視聴する必要があります。 今、私は彼のビデオの半分を見ました。そして、私は残りを見続けます。 このドラマーは本当に良い音を出している。
This was the second song by BABYMETAL that I heard and the one that solidified their position as my favorite group, where they have remained for the last year. This song is especially great live, especially when they use to do the call and the response; there is a recording of this song that you can see at the Download Festival back in 2016 that is worth watching. I am excited that your channel is growing and I hope that it continues to grow. I always appreciate reactors who put effort into their setup. I love the ambient lighting and the use of small focal length to achieve the blurring of the background. Unfortunately, BABYMETAL is a tough group to continue a reaction channel on for an extended period of time; Amuse, the company that manages this group, is tough on the unauthorized use of their content and you'll likely get your videos taken down for copyright reasons at some point. It also makes it hard to view concert footage of their newer songs, leaving you to watch fan footage compilations, which don't always avoid the strikes either. Fortunately, having a Patreon means you can store your reactions somewhere else (such as Google Drive) and share the link with your Patreons (or RU-vid viewers), but your views on the RU-vid video announcing the link will be less; some reactors post a reaction to a funny video of the girls or something to make the RU-vid video worth viewing. If you are trying to diversify your viewership, groups such Nightwish, Band-Maid, and Tool seem to have active fan bases as well. I am looking forward to the drum cover and more BABYMETAL videos! Let us know if you want links to videos that can't be posted on RU-vid (these are generally the best quality experience) and my fellow fans and I will gladly share them with you. Otherwise, I'll let the RU-vid comments continue to guide you on the next videos to react to.
Yeah! Great great reaction man! One of my favorite song of Babymetal ever!! Simply amazing and perfect! 🤟🏻 🦊 I can't wait for you drumm cover man! See you in the next 🤟🏻
Lot of their drum tracks are crazy af, pretty sure you'll fell down deep into the foxhole, MEGITSUNE official MV next please, and for your info, Kami band's drumer said that Megitsune is the slowest/less tense drum track song for him to play in their BabyMetal concerts, I'll leave to you to judge the song yourself, Will be waiting for your drum cover and keep the good work.
"Seiya! Soiya! Hashire!" Basically, we have karate so you'd better run! Lol! Ahhh more BABYMETAL! Karate was my first experience with BABYMETAL! It wasn't until early this year that I rediscovered them, but at the time it was instant love! Everything about this was just my type of everything! Lol! I'd say this is BABYMETAL'S most radio friendly track...that eerie opening buildup and then--BAM! there's this super thick riff in your face and its melting! And then Yui and Moa start in with "Seiya se-se-se-seiya" and you get a small (definitely smaller than gimme choko) WTF moment, but soon after, that catchiness hooks you! And then! (Yes there's still more!) SU STARTS SINGING!!! I immediately had goosebumps! Like you said, it was " soooo gooood!"!!! Karate has some of my favorite vocals! Add in to something already phenomenal...this brilliantly produced/directed/edited/everything MV! As most fans would say, Karate is one of the few where the MV can sometimes beat the live show! I loved the sheer storytelling that this MV has! Even before I looked up the lyrics, I already had a general gist of what this song had to be about! And each time I watched it, I discovered a new factor that just increased the value of all the tiny thoughts that went into it! I could literally go on, but I won't cuz time/space! Lol! I subbed because I wanna hear this cover! Follow through? ^_^ looking forward to it! If you're into djent, some others have already mention Starlight, so I will too! Also, my newest fav YAVA! Kitsune up! \m/
Babymetal brought me back to metal after a 20 year absence. So much to learn now. For instance, I just recently learned what "djent" is. I thought the name sounded oddly familiar, like a dialect word from my home town. Then I learned that it was actually coined by those nerdy jazzdude metalheads from my home town. That was interesting to me. They always were an odd sort of funny though. (Meshuggah, btw).
The video is very cool and all but I have a similar feelings with this band as I have with Rammstein. I always go for the live stuff. Good reaction, keep up the kitsune stuff! : >
You just popped up in my recommended feed and i watched the babymetal reaction ones already. I'm kind of glad you found a song that you enjoyed. And I know that it seems strange that the band has a song in most of the genres under metal but they make it work. Lyric wise Babymetal Death isn't much but the performance from the legend 1997 is amazing. Anything from them that is live is good. Check out 'oh majinai' live if you can.
In one of your first babymetal videos you mentioned you’ll probably never visit japan.. I’m thinking by now you might be rethinking that decision. (Imagine seeing them live at Tokyo stadium!). EDIT: & you just gained a new subscriber; really look fwd to hearing your babymetal cover!
Nice. And YES to KARATE drum cover! Also, you should react to Junna's drum covers of BABYMETAL & DragonForce among others. Junna is a 19 yr. old Japanese drummer formerly with TRiDENT (a.k.a. GRBK or Girls Rock Band Kakumei, an all-girl rock band). There seems to be a ton of Asian female rock drummers out there that are really good. Arigatou! 🦊🤘
New Babymetal official MV released 30 mins ago (40,000 views already!) - the bangin' tune BxMxC, which took the roof off when I saw them live in Feb this year. Enjoy! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ng8mh6JUIqY.html
If you like this, check out Yuyoyuppe. He produced "Karate" for Babymetal. He is AMAZING! React to some of his songs! Maybe his newest one "Datte" from an EP he recently made.
Look forward to seeing your drum cover! Some links to various epic (well, they're all epic but these are uber-epic) live performances I think you'll enjoy - Headbanger Legend 97: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-QEsOaMbNFww.html , or Idame, Dame, Zettai, live at Sonisphere (Babymetal's first performance at a Metal fest outside of Japan, in front of 65,000 Metal heads at one of our (UK's) biggest Metal fests): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Ro-_cbfdrYE.html and Catch Me If You Can, which - apart from being the best Metal song about playing Hide and Seek - has a solo from each member of the Kami Band in the intro and this version has English subtitles so you can sing along!: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ng8U_j0gpLI.html
Great reaction, thanks! I remember you asked for insane drummers and currently BABYMETAL have two real beasts. The kami of drums from the west (Anthony Barone) really surprised me for good. I'm absolutely obsessed with Kagerou's intro (all kamis solos) from Legend - Metal Galaxy Day 2. Here (on YT) is a live compilation, the sound is good but it don't show properly the best part of the drum solo. But if you want to check Barone, here: SHADOW OF INTENT - Melancholy (Official Drum Playthrough): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-u4V7u1Pe7Sc.html BENEATH THE MASSACRE - Rise of the Fearmonger (Official Drum Playthrough): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-eDAZztJQyck.html Enjoy!
I did some blind exhibitions for a few drummer friends, (audio only first, then video). Their favorite Japanese drummers were consistently Yoyoka, Junna, and Fumi, in no particular order. If you don't know Fumi, here's a young Fumi, 3+ years ago. I'm not familiar with this music, but she has lightning fast hands, and knows it. 🥁Fumi ふみ🥁 【SILENT SIREN】 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KYEyHT53hSU.html 🔸🔸🔸🔸🔸🔸🔸🔸🔸🔸🔸🔸🔸🔸🔸🔸🔸🔸 This her band: Another mysterious bassist. First of all a great reaction love it, i suggestion as possible next BMC,Akasuki or No rain no rainbow from Babymetal ,as a big fan of them its hard to suggest because i love all their songs very much they are different, play different metal but they are great and perfect as they are ty bro and greetings from germany 👊
has this guy watch Road to Resistance by baby metal? because the drumming in Road to Resistance is fucking off the chain!! kudos to the band Kami for their amazing work with Babymetal!
As a frenchie i first did not understand why he did not "cure" : p cute accent! (i have the worst of them so it's really not an insult :p) Nice Vid, nice balance between viewing and talking time, nice background and a very good taste in colors xD i never get bored watchin Baby Metal's reactions ^^
Personally my favourite too. Nu Metal and Melodic Metal work out quite nicely. I wished they would have sticked to that type of metal. But they wouldn't be Babymetal, if they wouldn't alter their style from track to track though not everything of the newer stuff works out the same way the older stuff does.
Probably not the most popular opinion, but this and papaya are by far my favorite songs by baby metal. Road to resistance is great but Karate and Papaya just seem to have that extra kick you want from metal.
Позьорство и преиграване. И с това повтаряне на ,,ай донт кюр" изглежда супер фейк. Препоръчвам ти да се фокусираш върху повече свирене и по-малко говорене.
I know ive already suggested you to react to bxmxc on one of your previous videos but i would also like to recommend another one. Please react to BABYMETAL - PA PA YA!! ft. F.HERO
