Larnell Lewis is certainly one of my favourite drummers. An other one of my favourites is Senri Kawaguchi, she is a fantastic Japanese female drummer (mainly jazz and fusion) and an other very good young Japanese female drummer that I really like is Kanade Sato.

Larnell is a close second, Matt Garstka will always be my favorite drummer. Dude is fucking nuts, can play crazy polyrhythms and rhythmic concepts, while being able to just lay down a smooth groove at the same time. Killer musicians, both of them!

Larnell is so tasty and melodic. If you haven’t already please check out Gergo Borlai’s performance from this same series. Jaw dropping and…wait till the very end. 🤩 cheers!

Oh and that bass player is Mono Neon with the Dr Seuss sock as a Fret Wrap . He is such a character, a lefty beast and one of the “stankiest”, funkiest dudes out there (like if George Clinton and Chaka Khan had a son 😜). Fun Fact, Eddie Murphy’s favorite youtube channel is Mono Neons. Great channel…keep the great work and the viewers will come. @ColbyFultonDrums

Of course Larnell is one of my favorite drummers, and a lot of others, like Chad Wackerman for example. Maybe you wanna listen to "Allan Holdsworths - Fred" with Chad on drums. And these days I' am a huge Yussef Dayes and also a Nate Smith Fan.
