Qui Tv tbh all I see is constructive criticism and this dude doesn't seems to listen. I follow him on Instagram too and everyone says the same thing about chops, pocket etc but it seems like he feels attacked... Ngl he has crazy potential and he's better than me at drumming
KING DRE ok and what do you think I do, I'm 19 as well and there's a reason I make $400 at one church and $350 at the other, plus the other gigs I do through the week, as well as flying from State to State and traveling Internationally to play so I'm not some sucker off the block meaning I too know what I'm talking about as well, this not some competition thing so chill. He has pocket, he's also a performance drummer meaning you need to have chops and pocket otherwise you'll just have pocket and just be a session player and the pay isn't bad with that at all, but it's a "fire mix" meaning it's just going to show clips of him going crazy. There's clips of my guy Fred Boswell from my town Milwaukee going crazy, they got Tony Taylor, Brent Easton, Calvin Rodgers going nuts, did tell them they need pocket??🤔🤔 Cause right now from the looks of it, you're the only one with a negative comment
He just doing what he loves to do just like you and me. And yes, you most def need pocket to get paid but he already has that but my man's trying to get sponsor just like the rest of us bro, meaning it's time to go crazy! All these artist out here want a drummer that can brighten up their sound, not only play pocket but can actually go crazy if they tell them they want them to do a solo on the spot. Reality is......he got that sauce!
Playing a song and not having the time right is a waste of time. lol why play if you cant stay in the pocket. I watch calvin rodgers alot and he stays in pocket AND he does fills while staying in the pocket and timing. Its just goofy to not be on the timing. Everyone is gonna look at you funny.
Terry King he just need to play a pocket beat with str8 metronome nd cut it off nd see if he at same tempo and learn some new chops double beat on the ride nd kick to match nd triples nd cross over to the 1 on hi hat seems like all he can do

Hey I have respect for your chops but you should concentrate on grooving more and swinging a little more in your pocket this is what will give you more work because if you get on some bandstands and just decide to break fool and chop out about the whole entire gig trust me they will not call you back. Why all the unnecessary chops you need to stay in pocket you won't be able to do all those chops for a Quarter group or in a recording studio if you play the music and stay in the pocket you will look and sound professional trust me on this...........Got respect God house too God is not pleased why play secular music in the church 🤷♀️
Same old chops , playing off beat , too many fills , trying to play fast over playing clean , playing fills that don’t even go with the song , playing Worldly songs at church, acting cocky, man...
