This drum band sequence features a lineup of some of the top drummers of the period - Ginger Baker, Bobby Graham, Allan Ganley, John Kearnes, Bobby Richards, Ronnie Verrell & Andy White.
Bobby Graham was an esteemed session drummer who played on sides by The Kinks ("You Really Got Me" and "All Day and All of the Night"), Dave Clark Five ("Glad All Over" and "Bits and Pieces"), Them ("Gloria"), Petula Clark ("Downtown") etc. Pretty much what Hal Blaine was to the Wrecking Crew.
Set the record straight once and for all put all of these drummers aside tell them to leave tell them to go home Now let’s put one man on the stage who is that man"? BUDDY RICH buddy would and could out play all of them enough said BUDDY RICH
Totally agree because Buddy is my drum God, but that doesn’t discount the fact that these are some top notch drummers. It’s not really a competish…it’s reveling in percussive artistry.
Nah, Buddy played snare drum 99.9% of the time the same paradiddles over and over...his toms were like the unused frets on a guitar the heads never needed to be replaced because he rarely used them. 😊
