Last update I heard was last November where he got a visitor and signed some autographs. Sounded like he's able to write large print and retains his short term memory post accident.

I am so so happy that your first Tom brier cover was my song suggestion and now chat can’t get enough of him. Tom brier is such a great pianist. It sad that he can’t play anymore, but his skills and improvisation will be remembered by people everywhere. I hope that you can play more Tom brier covers in the future and maybe Tom brier will see them himself.

Now there’s a suggestion idea: the Yoshi’s Island Athletic by the Raspberry Jam Band that Tom used to play in with a few other folks. IIRC they played that annually before Tom’s accident. Imagine Jerod being in that band even if it’s just him playing along with an old recording of one of their performances.
