A word of caution to you guys: I have been wheeling on Drummond Island for over 25 years, way before it "caught on" that it was the place to go. The changes to the trail system in that time are almost unbelievable. It was way different back then (rougher and more challenging). Driving on the lakeshore, and driving IN the lake is illegal everywhere in Michigan! Entire sections of trail on the island have been lost, shut down, and rerouted because of people doing that. Please - if you return- stay on the marked trails and out of the lake! Thanks.
