@@MinajShades fair enough... she's talking really fast and keeps moving her mouth and slurring speech so it's pretty obvious signs she's on something other than alcohol
I think that is because she has been very open about her eating disorder, depression and bipolair disorder in the past and her documentary staying strong was basicly all about it. In simply complicated she talked more about her alcohol and drug abuse, which she hasn't talked too much.
I see a lot of "she pulled it off really well" As an addict myself, it's really not hard to pull off appearing sober. Unless you're a full blown junkie who steps aside every 3 minutes for a bump or a shoot. Unless you KNOW what to look for, for example her eyes. Same with me. Only people who have ever noticed i was on anything were other addicts, cops, or doctors who know specifically what to look for. It's sad to hear about her relapse
Yeah, I didn’t exactly have a cocaine addiction but I was addicted to caffeine. I still struggle with it, I have at least 3 cups of coffee a day it’s a vicious cycle because I end up going to bed really late or sometimes not going to bed at all. Then the next morning I would need more caffeine to get through the day and it just goes over and over and over. The caffeine triggers the manic episodes because I had bipolar. So it’s similar but not the same.
Seeing the documentary and this, it is very sad what drugs can actually cause in people and it inspiring cause she got up and she is in her 5th year of sobriety, I grew listening to her without knowing what was going on and why she acted certain ways. I love her even more now, more than before, she is a role model now, and someone that I look up to and always will cause I believe she is inspirational compared to other artist from my generation.
Because her eyes say she's coming down from a drunken binder and is using coke to get through it. Seriously, this isn't the first time I've seen her eyes like that in an interview. This is Demi coked up. Not excited. Doesn't matter though, she's 3 years sober now, and it's been 5 years since she got out of treatment. She's healthy, happy, &incredible to date.
Flor Sacone sorry but the first thing you learn in rehab once an addict always an addict. Glad she's doing much better but she's definitely still an addict an always will be because this is something she's gonna struggle with the rest of her life.
Adrian Diaz the told a person to prank someone and they went i there and did something they shouldn’t have done demi didn’t do anything! You’re a joke just stop hating
Adrian Diaz ??? All demi did was tell someone to prank her friend and that person went to a whole another level with pranking ! DEMI DIDN’T TELL HER TO TOUCH HIM LIKE THAT!!. besides he( the person that got pranked) even said on Twitter that you guys can’t even take a simple joke to a friend so... you’re a joke not her
+Beautiful Butterfly You think it's not? For you to say that suggests you haven't gone through mental health issues or struggles of abuse. It's all good - for you to think it's not fake is what Demi was likely intending to portray, as a façade.
I love demi. Im her age and when I was in middle school she was on disney channel and I NEVER expected her to do drugs and drink all the time. She says she would be high or drunk allll the time and on the rare occasions that she was sober she would eventually get high. Its so weird. I remember when I was 17 I heard she was doing cocaine and I kept telling my friends to shut up that its all rumors and it was all TRUE!!!! I heard paparazi tooks pics of her doing lines and being really drunk and throwing up and she would pay them to delete it in front of her and she denied that she did drugs and drank. Then she confirmed it in an interview a year after rehab... I also remember someone told me they paid V.I.P for one of her shows years ago and she was doing lines in the bathroom and coming out all energized.. This person knew she was doing drugs in the bathroom because they had a brother with an addiction and they would hide it very well. She said when she was home, off tour, taking a break, she would do lines in her room and write a lot and her dad would notice that her eyes were glossy and not normal and she would say she was crying and shes ok and her dad knew that she was doing drugs and drinking and felt it woud be awkward to confront her at wrong times.. .thank god she went to rehab. shes such a diferent person. Even her music is different!
you aren't her age then, she started in as the bell rings in 2007 which puts her in age 14-15. That's high school age. I am her age, because I was born in 1992, just like Demi.
Y'all really be putting celebrities on such a high pedestal that being able to act normal whilst being high in your addiction to drugs is "talented and inspiring". Yikes. And this is coming from a fan.
It's incredible how your viewing of this interview changes. Before watching the documentary, before even suspecting that she was on drugs then you would think she was just happy and bubbly, a little goofy... Now, believing that she was high at the time, your entire perspective changes. It really is crazy. On a more positive note I think Demi is incredible- incredibly strong and definitely a large source of empowerment for me.
I see it. There was definitely something off about her. She's come such a long way since then. She hid so much from the media (I blame them, not her). I'm so glad she's healthy now, and so proud to call her my hero!
I'm so glad she found sobriety and changed her life for her. I love her so much despite how much hate she gets she is so talented and has been through so much shit.
I mean she played it off really well. I’m glad to say I don’t have an addiction but if that were me I would’ve been all over the place. Praying that she recovers well and gets better. Love you Demi💕💕💕
I felt so bad she relapsed two days ago and she was 6 years sober this year my thoughts and prayers are with you Demi!! 😍 I love you and your new Ballard Sober ❤️
I have to disagree, she doesn't look high here, not slurring her words, elaborating deeply on each question. The title of this video is misleading and disrespectful. Perhaps you may consider changing the title to simply a rare interview with Demi Lovato. Give the girl a break, she's got enough demons to fight.
This was cocaine usage, she's said in interviews she couldn't go half an hour to an hour without sniffing a line, plus the way she's really talkative and trying to chew her top lip all the time, I've seen many people on a night out sniff a line then come over and do exactly the same
That's sad. I've been through alot of stuff she has. I've been sober for 5 years and it's the best feeling ever. Demi is fucking amazing! So inspiring and beautiful inside and out!
i honestly always thought this was just her personality! the giggly, smiley, and loud girl who likes to talk and be personable! Lol... or was this just drugs and alcohol. Hmmm. coke! She handles herself very well though which is impressive.
At this time she was my favorite singer and idol i had nooo idea she was on drugs. Even though i didnt look at her as like the disney camp rock demi but she seemed doing so good i didnt have the slightest idea.
She was my fav actually for quite a while but after she started going downhill and were in rehabs in and out her whole persona, music even her voice changed. Its a shame she meant to do great things now people will remember demi as a drug addict always. What a waste. My favs song was: you got nothing on me, dont forget, catch me and world of chances.
I have no idea how she hid it so well, she looks just like a young excited girl with her first brushes in Hollywood, it’s almost heart stopping to really think about what she was hiding and what this interview was really like for her.
This really breaks me ... bc when I first saw this interview I knew something was off but I would of never knew 🥺❤️ I love you Demi stay strong you’re beautiful
I've known she went to rehab since Sonny with a Chance do seeing her grow since then has been a really cool thing to watch. Then I saw the documentary and it hit on a whole other level. I love Demi. She has been my inspiration since I was 7. She will forever be the person I look up to
As soon as word got out, im pretty sure a lot of ppl got on videos seeing if they can notice any usage. It's so sad and my heart and prayers go out to her and her family. Hopefully she can get the help she needs in time. Amy winehouse was an amazing singer too and we lost her voice.
I know she was on drugs because she obviously said but I think she just looks happy and excited. She's making sense, it doesn't seem like unusual erratic behaviour it's appropriate for the occasion /time. I think she hid it well.
Did she SAY she was drunk/drugged during this interview? Because honestly if she is, it’s not obvious at all. She just comes across as excited and happy.
my best friend overdosed about 4months ago, we was an addict to everything under the sun, but he did a lot of coke, it’s a very unique high, and you can immediately tell the difference between someone being happy and energetic vs being on a meth high vs being on coke. I’ve seen this so many times, they emotion is her eyes, body language, you can just tell.
she was talking so fast, using “like alot” in her sentences and was going into deep details and was smiling and laughing a lot, it looks like she could be high..
people who saying she not high... you need to be high before you notice then. N so what if she was. all that matters is now in 2016 she is happy and healthy this should really be removed because it's bringing up her bad remarks of what the once had!!
RIGHT. It is so obvious to me now when someone is high or strung out. Specifically stimulants, before I became an addict myself and have actually lived through many strung out benders, staying up for nights on end, barely eating or hydrating..like your brain is in a constant confused state (you can even start hallucinating which is really scary bc youre too exhausted to convince yourself whats real and whats not..) but then its like your mouth goes into overdrive xD You literally CANNOT stop rambling even tho you know you must sound like a crazy person right now...but like what other people are saying, this same thing can happen with someone who has bipolar and are in a mania stage.
wow, I can only see the way he spoke and comparing it now, deterioration of what I explain in the current documentation and that is, how is it that they did not realize before? I would never judge demi thanks to her today I am grateful to be alive and it is time that she received support and strength to remain stable
One of my friends this year, took some pills/drugs, can't remember what, but the way Demi looks is how they looked too- like the dimming eyes, the laughing, constant talking. It's chilling bc I never knew Demi was doing that but nonetheless, Demi's great.
