A friend asked me if I could replace a relay in a circuit board from his dryer. The new board cost over $200. l sourced another relay from the internet for $14 and then told him it was worth a try.
was that a dryer relay? If so and Im genuinely curious..why did you take out the whole board? I was able to change mine without taking the actual green motherboard out
First of all, it wasn't mine. A friend brought it over because he is worse than me at soldering. I don't know how the board sits in the dryer. Do you have access to both sides while it is mounted in the dryer?
@@repairsecrets pre mature comment lol..some relays depending on model are just bolted on under the control panel and not even on the board. Mine was held on by just two 1/4 bolts, not soldered at all.
Man I really wish you would’ve shown a closer better look at the motherboard when you were done. Can’t really see what you did with the wire. It looks like you put the wire on a different track then the one you started on. Is the wire on the same track as the start?
