@@karenmorrisette5027 in the 60’s my parents had two which if my memory is correct dad had painted with the same aluminum paint they we painted our fuel oil tanks with. Him and mom would set in the under the hickory tree in our front yard as us 6 kids would run around catching lightning bugs in the evenings and when the June bugs were out mom would bring scissors and thread out. Us kids would catch a June bug and mom would cut a piece of thread off then dad would help us tie thd thread to a leg of the June and we would fly around and around us. When one of them got to tired we would let that one loose and find another. They were simple things during a simpler time and I know many today would call it cruel but it kept us 5 boys and our sister entertained for hours while while we bounded as a family.
Amen! You got about what $2 bucks from the dryer that’s good I’ll have to remember that. Sounds like you had a great day. Boy baby girl was happy to see you home. Thank you for taking us along have a great evening 😊
Great day! Good day for cords, but you forgot the cord on the grill. The rotisserie unit had a cord on it. The drum on the washer looked like it might have been stainless, maybe should have tested it. Thanks for the show, Paul!
Your packing skills are awesome. Often from my perspective it won't fit and low and behold you find a way. That dryer wasn't giving up its change easily .Growing up in a very small mining town we knew most people . There was a family that had a lot of children who always seemed to be in need. My Dad could fix most things and the local clergy asked him to go down to see if he could repair the dryer for them. He went down and the man just wanted him to haul it away . Dad went got his trailer and obliged . Next we heard they were asking for clothes etc for the kids and the church was raising money for a dryer. When Dad went to drop off the dryer he heard change like you. Don't know how much he got but he did find a 100$ bill . Makes you wonder sometimes . Have a great week . It is like summer here today and we had an ice storm a week ago. Keep Safe ❤Keep Well❤
There’s something so calming watching you tie the ropes, snip the cords and stack everything just so. I always feel like my mind is organized when things around me are the same. The extra couple of minutes was worth it to get the dryer change! Seeing Olivia made me happy! 😁
Paul 1st happy spring! When you take apart the dryers it's easier to take the front panel off a dryer and you get full access to where the change is and you could be missing out on even more cannot tell you how many I have opened up and found 5.00-100.00 dollar bills and you can't hear that flopping around😊
Paul I just wanted you to know you inspire me in so many ways, but mainly your spirit and kindness makes me try to be a better human being!!! Thank you for who you are!
Wow, I haven’t seen clamshell chairs in years!! My parents and grandparents had those in various shades of green LOL. In good condition those chairs bring high dollar . Nice day for scrapping today, Paul. Thank you for taking us along . And a bouncy greeting by Lady Olivia at the end of the day, makes it feel good to get home. Y’all have a wonderful weekend 🫶🏼‼️
The problem with LG washers and rust is the location of the BLEACH dispenser in the front left corner. I just scrapped out my own LG washer for the leaks from the same area. Mine was not nearly as eaten up as the one you picked up in this video. High end washer with many features, but the bleach takes a toll on them. I replaced it with a much smaller and less costly Whirlpool. The finish of the paint doesn't protect the steel well at all on the LG. Happy hunting! Love the Praise and Prayer (before pay) at the end of your videos!
Paul - I loved the intro of you ripping apart that dryer for the change! I always looks for coins wherever I go and I would have to do the same thing! Thanks for the laugh this evening! Sending prayers from Michgian.
So glad you are back on the prowl. Thank you for the prayer today. Most needed. Had a bad fall in January 6 broken ribs. Fluid retention on the lung, scans and xrays till I am glowing and last nights results after 3 months was more bad news. Hard to heal up at 65. Most likely an operation in the future.
I definitely got that vibe where you were at the moment. Driveways are great little lonely liminal spaces in our communities, reminds me of walking home for dinner alone at night along the backways
Hi Paul. In my area those water bottles (the one you grabbed to hold your change) have a $6 deposit on them. They can be returned for refund of the deposit.
Happy scrapping Paul my son say he wants be like you when he grows up saving plannet bye recycling metals and not putting in landfill god bless from William and Joshua liverpool England
I picked up a dryer once that had almost $9.00 worth of change in it. Probably twice what I got for it (at that time) at the yard...lol. Sometimes you get lucky!
Thank you for video Paul. I love to watch scrapping channels, the main reason I watch your channel is the way you give thanks to GOD and PRAISE him for every part of your life. I pray with you and for you and for others as well. Paul you have a good evening and we will see you tomorrow.😎👊🏻PEACE and GOD BLESS.
My hubby and I put change in those water bottles. One was all pennies and one was other change. After 2 years we had $1400 in pennies in one and over $3000 in mixed coins in the other. Our bank was wonderful. We wheeled the bottles in on a dolly and they took care of running it through their machine to sort and count. They credited out account with $4400 the next day
Sup Paul! Been off your channel for a while and I’m just now coming back! That tiller you got looked super nifty, but sadly blown engine, also at 29:30, that’s a LG Waveforce, those washers are from 2010,2014ish, so it’s probably 10+ years old (yes im a appliance nerd) awesome video Paul! 😁
Paul, not sure if you will try this or not when backing up but here goes. My dad worked and retired from NYSEG our gas and electric companu here in New York, he drove the big bucket trucks. He taught me when backing up if you line up your driver side mirror with where you're going the other side will take care of itself. I use one mirror backing into my driveway everytime. It does work. Just throwing this out there. 😊
Hey brother Paul awesome video love your videos be awesome stay awesome be your self have a awesome great bless day and night you and your family be careful when you are out doing what you love to do be safe and healthy and healed and Happy you and your family God bless you and your family love you and your family your brother DENNIS 😊❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
You should pick up all the water bottle like the one you got and save water, just in case we have a disaster. Do you remember the the dock worker where on strike for a long time? Some of those ships with appliances spent along time at sea before they where unloaded. Maybe rust from that? Amen! Many blessings and answers to your prayers. That was fun watching you get the coins out. 😁
I picked up a microwave an umbrella, curtain rods and a shower curtain rod next to a cemetery entrance today. You know one of those old cemeteries out in like the middle of nowhere! Rural Iowa! Lol
Insulated cooper wire; I took some in today (35 lbs) and got $1.40 a pound for it,. That is Canadian and I took about 300lbs in a week ago. Our Canadian prices are very good at the moment, 19 cents a pound for shred material.
Great haul Paul!! Loved the video. Love Olivia she missed you. Hugs for your family and for your sweet lady and her kids. Have a awesome day. 88° degrees in Northeast Pennsylvania. 🙂👍🙂💕
Hey Paul those clamp shell Chairs u got rid off at the junk yard r worth 65 buck all day long Just to give U a heads up for the next time. They r old and people love them .I got 2 my self. They were brown I love to have them 💯Never seen u take anything apart before Paul👍
Paul,I can definitely see a pep in your step lately! I hear you talk of a culinary lifestyle change. I can see and tell that you are feeling better! Congratulations! Keep on keeping on! 😊
Paul, the start of the video you tossing that dryer around I said he's lost he finally lost it,then I saw you picking up change, you didn't loose it you found it! There's more than one way to make money scrapping. Many more good fortunes ahead!
Mount Scrapmore has really gone down in the past few months. Thanks Paul for scraping all that metal daily. It really helps to recycle, re-use and reduce wherever we can. Playing the scrapman IL Las Vegas slot machine, eh,??? LoL 🤣!
I miss scrapping. Haven't done it in a few years. There's too many people doing it. I used to take everything apart. My favorites were air conditioners, storm doors and faucets. It added to the final weight. Aluminum bbqs, are simple but noisy. Take a hammer and smack around the bolts inside. The metal will break
When I moved in my house years ago, was single so as part of deal bought old washer/dryer combo which was old set. When got ready to replace dryer a frirnd told me to check.coin trap...that unit had $6.25 in it ! .. You worked hard for that money..
Ok Mr.Paul I'm so into your relaxing videos and I should be out in my garden planting cucumbers before the rain starts. Thanks for sharing awesome videos, they are therpy just like gardening.
Thanks for an awesome video . God bless you for making us happy for sharing with us. You always put a smile on my heart when I see a new video to watch. Keep shining from a fan in NY
On a pretty white fan esp. a plastic front you can take off the front grill and keep for upcycling to a planter piece bottom or birdfeeder part yknow put moss over it and 3 hooks whatever decor piece. Fans have a coil in them too I guess.
Paul at 14.52 in your video the two lawn chairs are from the 1950s there is value to these in California they sell for 100.00 each. More if they had the original paint on them.
It is good to see you going after a few quarter coins, ripping the machine open to retrieve them. The same dryer also has a transformer and a few hand lengths of wires, that are much more than a few quarter coins. #JustSaying
Glad you took time out to save the money.. I can't remember if it was this or another episode. You found some vintage patio chair's. Those are worth 150. On the safe side. Even 100. For the pair keep your eyes open. We like old stuff its lasted this long we could restore it keep another few years. God can help you multiple your treasures.. love your endings giving thanks for what you have..
Hi mater man! Good luck with your tomato plants. I had 11 Campari seedlings come up, but none of them survived. Next year I’m getting better soil and planting them earlier……if I’m still alive and kicking. 😂
Just a awareness comment first love you vids I truly do I am a fellow scrapper. The gas stoves the burners are aluminum the grates are cast iron. You would be amazed how fast you build up for higher payouts. Be safe God Bless
