@@dxvid1417 this was simple to follow but for others it cud spring doubt as to what to do concerning id to download .NET windows to convert DS4.exe into a folder Mentioning requirements can bring us instant clarity and prevent us questioning if we tapped wrong button or did it in an incorrect order

Not sure if anyone answered, but I'll also do it. What "Hide DS4 Controller" does is, it instruct windows to hide the fact that it's a sony playstation controller and not a compatible one or an xbox controller. That's it. That's all it does. If you play a game compatible with xbox controllers (take Grid 2 for example), it will give you xbox specific instructions (Pres A to continue, press B to something else, yada yada yada), even if you have a ds4 connected.
I know this is going to sound really dramatic but I promise you, you really helped my ass out. From the start of the video I realised we had the same background, I knew I had found a real homie. Your voice assured me this was the way as I followed your instructions. Watching my controller light turn blue after attempting to hook it up to my pc for 2 months was almost orgasmic. Now I can play fallout new Vegas, l4d2, And my dad can try insurgency sandstorm on controller. It worked for me on Forza Horizon 5 and DS4 controller on Windows 10. NOTE: I had to install ".NET 5.0 Desktop Runtime (v5.0.12)" that it's necessary to run DS4Windows 3.0.18.
Yeah it didn't work on multiple steps for the tutorial, and idk if i was just doing something wrong but i re-watched the video 5 times to see if i did but i didn't

My controller still won’t detect and when I go to control panel it’s now showing up there either. The ps4 controller is pulsing an orange yellow light. Still works on the ps4
PLEASE PLEASE REPLY TO THIS. I HAVENT SEEN ANYONE WITH THIS ISSUE. as soon as i connect the controller wired, at the bottom of my screen it says "add a device, tap to set up your wireless controller", if i dont click it it just acts like my controller is charging while off. if i do click it it says tap yes or no to pair this device, as soon as i click pair, my controller shuts off and says "no controller detected" this is with all controllers, cables and charging ports, not a hardware problem. please help. DS4 itself is working fine, for the one millisecond that it actually allows me to connect for lol

@@tedbungiegaming8027 I'm sorry I don't know how to fix that. When I use the middle pad it gets bugged and I don´t know how to disable it either, so I just don´t use it
Uninstall ds4 windows completely and start from the beginning that was the only thing that worked for me. Make sure you aren't just deleting it, go to uninstall a program under control panel.
The program doesn't detect my controller. When i tried to look at control panel for devices there was no wireless controller option there. what do i do help please
I've tried about everything I can find/think of already. Uninstalling everything related to DS4 and reinstalling, installed drivers from DS4, tried bluetooth, uninstalled the driver for the controller and plugging it back in, Big Picture settings and still not being recognized in there either. I'm really not sure what else to do at this point, if you're able to help out!
Thank you so much bro ur a lifesaver. I was trying to figure out how to stop the issue of the navigation in Cold War's menu wasnt working properly with controller, and now i followed ur method and it worked perfectly! Thank you so muhc (i didnt click hide ds4 controller but it still worked)
After all these steps and the program still not showing my console, I will soon buy a USB cable to see if this problem is still there, thank you very much for getting me through these steps💜
@@dxvid1417 I don’t see wireless controller in my devices and printers :( there’s a million tutorials that tell me to do that but I don’t see it. I am mainly a controller player and I have been struggling for many months :(
this is not helping. everytime i try to run the ds4windows, its asking me to install .net frame work. when i installed it and tried to run ds4 again, it keeps asking me to install the .net frame work again. its like a loop. wtf
didnt work for me :( i really dont know what else i could do... my pc stopped to identify my controller in all of a sudden, and since then i cant use it anymore

When I open the DS4Windows application it says cannot open and would you like to install .net I did that and it still doesn’t work I’ve done it 5 times now and it is still not working

bro it told me to install dotnet I installed it and it didn't worked I put dotnet in the ds4 folder and it dosnt work again why am I the only one who got something wrong on this
When I go to the Controller/Driver Setup, it says the driver is already installed. After uninstalling HID-compliant game controller & restarting. It puts that HID driver back after restarting. When I check hide DS4 Controller it doesn't ask to make changes to the computer or anything.
Two years later and this video is still out here saving the day! Thank you for this I was ready to bounce the controller off my desk. Now all is good I really appreciate the info!

When I look in the hardware and sound, wireless controller is no where to be found. It's like my PC doesnt even know my controller is plugged in. (Keep in mind I dont have bluetooth on my pc)
I tried all of these and nothing was working. I tried so many different cables and they all did the same thing. Controller would just lite up yellow/orange for a moment and back off. I found a Bose speaker cable and plugged that in, and my pc instantly recognized the controller. After fighting myself trying all these different fixes it ended up just being the cable lol
@@Rvvni All I know is my problem went away when I used a cord that actually transmits data. I tried 6 cords I found around the house before finding #7 that actually worked. Make sure the cable can transmit data and not just charge.
my ps4 and both xbox controllers dont show up in control panel or device manager my controllers worked on my pc since i got it and ive been going thorugh hours and hours of reading forums trying to figure out why and nothings worked has anyone had the same problem
@@ImGlitcherTV ive heard the usb cable i use could have a bad connection and some usb cables dont support data only charging so thats the only conclusion ive been able to come to at this point i dont even play rl anymore but if i get another cord ill try it and update you
Thank you very much! For over a year now no controller was functioning anymore nor was it recognized by any game (that was happening on purpose after an update, to be forced to buy 100 $ controllers from one certain brand and prevent all cheap and stylish looking 10$ USB- or 2.4G-wireless-controllers from functioning). Steam was solving the problem very good so far with Steam-input activation, but there are certain emulators and programs that cannot be used with Steam. Now everything is perfectly fine with my good old PS4 controller that is now no longer blocked :)
