I just noticed that this piece of music is really similar to the music used in the final moments of the episode "Life Support", when Kira is talking to a dying Bareil. It fits beautifully into Kira and Odo's final scene together.
Kira Nerys"...you do." Odo: "And this is the way I want you to remember me." Kira Nerys: "I`ll never forget you." Odo: "Goodbye Nerys." So moving it touches the soul. Dennis McCarthy was sublime. Atleast from 1:21 to about 1:45. My favorite part. This is a part of true Star Trek. From 1966 to 2005. Atleast as far as official series and movies go. God I miss Star Trek. And last but not least... Odo & Nog you`re missed... Rest in peace.
“All hands…antenTION!” I watched as each of the senior staff proceeded to air lock. They’ll be here for you when you get back.” He turned with a grunt and a smirk. I then felt Bashir’s firm but soft and steady hand. “Don’t ignore your monthly check up.” He winked at me with a smile. I only nodded. As the airlock doors rolled shut with a hiss, I only heard Major Kira. “Everyone dismissed. Return to your stations. “ And just like that, life went on as before.
