Summary: 1st or 2nd year: go for anything DSA first or Development first you have ample amount of time. Shifting from DSA to Development will be comparatively easier but learning Development first will gain your interest in coding because DSA takes time and focus to build logic. 3rd or 4th year students: If you want to get placed in MAANG companies then go for DSA first. If you want to get placed in non-MAANG companies then go for development first. I am currently in my third year of college. Most third-tier college students have no idea what they should do in their 1st and 2nd year of college. The same scenario happened to me. I did nothing in my 2yrs of college. Now I am clear about my objectives. This question was bothering me at the start of my third year: should I start with Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) or Development? Then I started to learn DSA. I'm working hard to improve my logic-building skills. Thank you, Shardha Didi, for making this video. It will make my decision more clearer.

Bro can you write the exact order of topics to start DSA. Like some do sorting before arrays some do it in last and etc etc. I am recently doing arrays after loops. Please help me. And also suggest how many questions should I do in each topic. I am first year student from tier 3 collage.

Bro you can start by basic of any language and then start with array ,2d array,string stack queue ,tree and linked list.

If you don't have deep passion for development and targeting for a good intern or placement. Being a third year grad at IIT and seeing the intern scenario simply go for DSA,puzzles and probability+ computer system etc. After all these do basic projects . U will be able to sit for both sde and quant roles .

Mam I have one query.. actually I was not from btech background or from bca, computer science..I'm from medical background currently doing bsc in neurosciences...but in meanwhile recently I had developed intrest to learn coding and computer languages...so by learning from you..can one medical background student learning these skills can secure jobs in Google ,Microsoft etc...or that companies will only accepts... you should start with web devlelopment to get the interest buildup in coding as it is easy to learn starting html, rather than java or c++

It actually varies person to person, I tried both of them and found DSA more interesting than frontend development. On the other hand my friend found frontend development more interesting and he is now in a good position.

Didi I am in 3rd year (5th sem is going to be over in 1 month) I am pretty good in DSA I can solve easy questions easily and somewhat medium (*On leetcode*) but somehow I am stuck now I don't know what to learn in DSA now.
