DSG build (part 4) cutting the tappet plate. 

I find this type of stuff so interesting. all though I play airsoft I am glad that you guys over the pond are able to have something similar to airsoft and uses similar airsoft parts or some of the same. sad that that it has to come to the point where you have to shoot Gel balls in order to even have anything close to airsoft.

Suggest getting an old gen8 clear plastic gearbox shell and just cutting out a circular part of the ''top'' side that has the 3 bushings where the gears sit. You can use it like a plate to hold all the gears together while finger testing like this, without everything trying to spring out on you but still giving you access to see and move everything. It made life a lot easier for me.

Thinking if you shorten the spring or get one with more tension it would snap back quicker. Otherwise over time you'll have issues as the lube you applied dissipates.

Fast forward to 1.5 you will thank me for that..😅

There may not be enough time for the gel ball to feed tho, but it need to be tested. And the tappet spring may need to be shortened to give it more tension for the tappet to return faster

What's on the end of your nozzle? Tubing? Better air seal at the hop up where the nozzle meets it?

Hey I know this video is from 2020 but thanks for the video also what gearbox is that also I think the white tappet plate looks like a cut down V3 to fit a V2.

I'd also shave the back side of the tappet so that it's free to move forward the moment the pin is past, because you may be getting a bit of a delay there as well. Yeah I was going to say about the spring as well, so that it will snap back. But then you've got the issue of it maybe snapping the plate.

What sort of rof are you expecting out of that unit mate? Just completed my 9:1 dsg in a kublai gb and resolved the feeding issue. Don’t know the rof though. No chronie.
