DSLR Camera Trap - When Lady Luck smiles down

Most camera trap set ups require a lot of planning in order to have any chance of success. On this impromptu set up however, Lady luck smiled down on me and gave me a wonderful image for my efforts.

The Pole cat captures are a great achievement. It is a very difficult species to work with, at least where I live. Congratulations, I am very happy!

Thank you Gonzalo, They move very quickly and have unpredictable movements so, as you say, they not very easy to work with. I got very lucky this time. 👍

@@JohnFormstone Ive not had much luck with cam trap recently mate! Theres a marsh harrier nearby, going to set a perch up in reeds with cam trap see what happens! keep the good work up,love seeing your vids.

i know your excitement as i got one 6 moths ago and again the very first night with it out. in currently into 3 months on one trap after the otter, well done very nice images John

Thanks George. Sometimes you have to make your own luck eh, it more than makes up for all the disappointments that camera trapping can throw at you. Its moments like this that keep you going. 😊👍
