@@trahnettilhcs I think so. It’s a quite a bit different than most other amp pedals I’ve seen. Euge Valovirta has some good vids on it. So far it’s my fave and I designed a fly rig off of it. I like the simplifier but I agree that it does sound a bit processed. Or like you said, a direct to console sound. I don’t think once the Iconoclast is dialed in that it does at all.

@@sasmitha8446 I’m biased because I think effects makes everything sound better. But in all honesty, I would recommend trying it out. Everyone’s ear is different.

Sounds great, immediately. One way I know is whether I find myself turning down, or up when listening. On the Hughes & Kettner Stompman and the Quilter Superblocks, found myself reaching to turn it down because of a sharp flinty unpleasantness to the treble. Whereas, the Thermion Zero and this both sound great, and I find myself really cranking the headphones up on your demo. Very satisfying sounds. Want one of these, or a Thermion Zero, for a wet/dry/wet rig. Just need to decide whether it's this one, and keep my older spare pair of active ADAM T7V monitors. Or sell the old studio monitors, get the Thermion Zero, and build two small 1x10" guitar cabs. I do like the reverb on the Thermion, and the form factor; Thermion seems better built/more substantial this is a bit fiddlier with the tiny size; especially the mk.II. Suspect Thermion with guitar cabs would sound a bit more satisfying and integrate with my Vox AC15 better. But, this is much cheaper second-hand. And saves me the hassle of selling the old monitors and building cabs. Tempted.

I wish a pedal called "simplifier" was a bit more simple. Too many things to tweak. Still too many options. To me, it would work better (as a real simplifier) if the power section and the cabs were fixed and matched to the amps. Like the tech 21 series that joyo copied. American Sound/British Sound/AC Tone. Let us switch off the cab sim. Keep the stereo fx loop and the spread function. I tried one once. It sounded nice. Could have more gain and compress more - the one I tried had some ugly clipping when pushed hard (not sure if it was clipping at the input or fx loop out).
