Ben, as you know we have nearly downloaded Phils psyche in its entirety. Phil seems to pride himself on five main areas: - Being "Italian" (whatever that means, he has Polish in him too that we never hear about) - Knowing his food (also, see above) while being a DoorDash consumer. - Former FGC champion, legend and whistle blower. (he was above average during a time where the scene was small) - Being the absolute prototypical complaining Karen putting all the other Karens to shame.
Phil also has that weird Mickey Mouse Ha - Ha !!! laugh that he does on a regular basis. He often uses it at completely inappropriate times and it feels phony and forced.
all that talk about finally improving the image quality and eliminating input delay, literally dedicating entire streams to "perfect" SF6's performance just to cry about fucking modern controls of all things, never change Phil 😂
This is more of why Phil is on Level One... even in his scams and deceptions. He makes all these bold claims, says he is gonna be awesome now and all his excuses are no longer valid. He goes so far to say he owes the Canon Bros an apology. Before ever testing his new settings in a match... before a single online game, he pretty much declares he will now be in top form and there will be no excuse. And then surprise... all that stuff with his settings is irrelevant and he still sucks at StreetFighter. Which is what anyone good at Streetfighter could have told you, and did, after reviewing his inputs and watching him play, throwing punches at air, jumping for no reason and running chin first into every baited setup. He would say that excuse he used after he got better internet, he's gonna be reverse netcoded and his inputs will be too fast compared to the other person's connection, which will make the game drop his inputs since they are too fast...

SF6 has two different choices of ways to control your character -- modern control and classic control. In his mind, modern requires less skill to beat your opponent and thus they aren't on his level.
These "improvements" just means he's slowly running out of more and more excuses. And then the folks that actually wake up from his pignosis call him out, he can't use the usual excuse and just default to ban, ban, ban, ban, ban (gone forever)

I was worried that he painted himself into a corner with all this handicap business, but thankfully he diversified his excuses to extend beyond input delay. Since it’s “pretty much lagless” and he’s still losing to flowchart scrubs it just further proves he lacks the skill to adapt and overcome.

Same old excuses, same slow reactions, same bad decision making, still don't want to spend time to practice different setups, still playing "modern" fighting games like its SSF2T..... The only difference is; Phil trying his hardest to not rage as he tries to manipulate the dents into buying him a new gaming PC.
DSP is the sort of person that would take up boxing, never train and repeatedly lose then decide that it's not a lack of training but his old gloves causing it. He would buy new gloves rather than train.
holy shit. 2:36 has he ever said "I hit the wrong button" when he's complaining about losing? Plays exactly the same as he used to, getting hit while he's "parrying" or the wrong move coming out, and it always used to be "I didn't press that, the game dropped my input, the game says I pressed a different button".

Phil gets mad at a modern Jamie because he would anti air Phil’s free jumpins with a special move. As if the the Jamie had to do a motion control to input the special move it wouldn’t be fast enough. Phil projecting his slow reactions onto everyone else. Not to mention buffering inputs is a real tactic pros do.

Now that he has no excuses, whats stopping him from dropping the game entirely? He's not even playing ranked anymore, which i find odd.. hes gonna blame the FGC again, for allowing pattern-play-encouraging playstyles that are totally random and exclusive to "top-tier" characters, which he refuses to use...

This is why WWE champions is the only game he actually "succeeds" at: because it requires no skill, and he can just pay his way to the top. He gloats about things he wins, even though it's rng and not him actually achieving anything. If he could do that in street fighter, he would just for gloating rights because his image is all he cares about, and deep down, he knows he has no talent. He has no actual skill other than begging and whining and getting what he wants (from Mama Sow and paypigs), and that's the only reason he hasnt gotten reality to cave in his face.
