Am 10. September zeigte Isabell Werth ihr Nachwuchspferd DSP Belantis (v. Benneton Dream - Expose) auf der Hengstparade des Brandenburgischen Haupt- und Landgestüt in Neustadt/Dosse. DSP Belantis wurde 2009 im Hauptgestüt geboren.
Ein wirklich schöner Ritt von Isabell Werth, die ich sonst in den letzten Jahren eher kritisch sehe. Hier zeigt sich Pferd und Reiterin gelöst und mit Spaß. Das ein Pferd vor so einem großen Publikum mit all dem Lärm nicht vollkommen relaxt ist, bewerte ich sehr positiv… es scheint keine Beruhigungsmittel bekommen zu haben😉 Gerne mehr solcher Ritte Frau Werth 🦄
Also spannig sieht anders aus. Und wenn ein 7 jähriger Hengst wie eine Schlaftablette in so einem Umfeld läuft ist es viel trauriger. Ich sehe einen aufgewecktes junges Pferd das sehr gut vorgestellt wird.
genial lockere Hüfte. Und dass das Pferd NICHT nur spannig ist, sieht man im Übrigen am Schritt. Passage und Traversale sind mit 7 erst am Anfang, dass das nicht perfekt läuft, sollte doch bitte verständlich sein. Viel wichtiger: die Paraden sind absolut durchlässig!
Tolles Pferd , super vorgestellt ! Ja. mir gefällt auch längst nicht alles was ich bei den Videos von Frau Werth sehe , aber da kann man doch wirklich nicht meckern , oder ? Vom Können her sowieso schon mal nicht , aber das ist jetzt auch nicht zu hart finde ich und das Pferd sieht auch nicht wirklich gestresst aus ! Da sieht man doch oft ganz andere Scenen !!
Ich finde es unglaublich was die Leute von einem jungen Pferd in so einer Kulisse schon erwarten. Das Pferd ist noch jung und kann dementsprechend noch nicht alle Lektionen perfekt. Zudem ist so eine Kulisse für die Pferde nicht alltäglich. Kein wunder also wenn sie nicht todesentspannt und super locker sind. Es gibt pferde die zuhause locker flockig durchs viereck tanzen und bei soneinem event etwas klemmig und verspannt sind weil die umgebung neu ist. Ich finde den Ritt völlig in Ordnung!
Auf Belantis gefällt mir Frau Werth momentan am besten. Weihegold und auch ihre übrigen Pferde gefallen mir nicht, zu abgehackte Bewegungen was hier nicht der fall ist. Gut vorgeritten.
Wenn man das GANGBILD von Belantis genauer ansieht, muß man sich nicht wundern dass diese Pferd nie mehr gesichtet wurde!!!! bzw, nur eine Handvoll Turnier Starts hatte!!! SEHR SEHR SCHADE; ER WAR EIN TOLLES PFERD!!!!!!

Ich würde gerne wissen warum hat Isabell dise Trainingseinheit nicht auf Trense gezeigt. Wird das Pferd auf Kandare (ohne reelle Anlehnung durch den Körper) zuHause ausgebildet weil er nicht "ziehen" kann? Man sieht wie das Pferd die Kruppe beim Piaffe-lernen hebt anstatt sich zu setzen: der Grund ist die mangelde Anlehnung durch den Körper, also das mangelde "ziehen". Irgendwas gefällt mir nicht hier. (übrigens, von Spannung ist hier nichts zu sehen das Pferd fühlt sich bei Isabell super wohl!. Anders um, ob Isabell Spass hat ein Pferd ohne Zug zu reiten?)
Kandare ist doch nichts schlimmes- ab einem gewissen Ausbildungsstand gehört das Reiten auf Kandare einfach dazu. Das Pferd ist 7 Jahre (!!!!) alt und dafür sind das richtig tolle Piaffansätze. Ein Pferd, welches nicht zieht, könnte die Lektionen nicht so laufen (va Mitteltrab, Traversalen, fliegenden Galoppwechsel, Pirouette ua). Es dauert durchaus fast 1 Jahr eh bei einem sehr gut versammelbaren Pferd eine ausdrucksstarke Piaffe/Passage geht, wo sich ein Trainer dann hinstellt und sagt, dass dort fast Nichts mehr zu verbessern ist.
Schade um dieses tolle Pferd Würde gelegt und zum Helgstrand gebracht. In Ungarn vor Woche gesehen bei der Jugend EM. Nur noch ein Schatten seiner selbst. Was eine Schande
Yea Hanni I agree he didn't look relaxed in fact there was some quite obvious tension through his back resulting in his hinds becoming disunited and high and uneven. He seemed almost border line ataxic, his hinds easily getting lost, that is doing something different to the front end. This is a big lean horse and he was always going to be quite difficult to collect with his build, and of course also easily tired. Being somewhat long in the back and slightly weak behind he has to make a big effort keeping the front end up, this despite a very, almost too free shoulder. Seeing him now and having seen him as a three year old I think he is more or less going at this stage as I expected he would be under the circumstances. In an ideal world he could've been given more time to fill out and muscle up concentrating on nothing but balance and powering up, no dressage at all just basic schooling, lots of long out-riding on different terrain, uphill and down hill ect. However this might be the full extent of his co-ordination anyway, tricky at the best of times, as he was never going to be very powerful and toghether behind. I wish however Werth had rather shown some suppling exercises for him and concentrated on warm up and warm down with just a small amount of the hard stuff because this is how one should be riding a horse of this size with his ability. We shouldn't be showing the audience what we think they want to see but always always doing what's best for the horse, public or no public. He is not the most brilliantly gifted horse and has to work hard, nothing is easy for him so the the rider and the training has to make it as easy for him as possible and this is what we should want to show the audience. This is how people learn. Belantis hasn't yet learnt to sit and lift his front end effortlessly and it might be asking too much to concentrate only on this in one session. I think he's a lovely horse but I wouldnt use him for breeding unless I was very sure that I thought he could improve my mare line.
Looking again as he comes into the ring in trot you will see his front end is also extremely narrow, front legs placed very close together. This will give him even more balance issues especialy given he is quite weak behind and uncoordinated generaly. For a big horse this is going to continue being a problem. I dont understand everything Werth is saying but she seems to say he is effortlessly easy......it's not what Im seeing at all. He has great difficulty with just two steps of piaf, losing all rythm as his hinds become disunited and high, uneven and wobbly. At his age that is a real concern. I wonder if what Werth is saying isn't more marketing than the truth here. I would only consider him on quite heavy mares, depending 100% on his breeding vlaue index, if known at all. ~ He is a lovely looking horse and Im still holding thumbs he comes right. He tries very hard indeed. Werth tried pushing for one time changes and it went badly wrong, passage is also all wrong, legs all over the place, irregular behind in almost everything. Makes you wonder.
There is another video of this horse being ridden by a rider who seems proficient enough but again as you have correctly identified the same problems still ensue. The horse is disunited in the changes and is unbalanced (especially behind) during virtually all attempts at collection work!! I am surprised that these so called "professionals" are not taking the time and trouble needed for this horse to become established at each stage BEFORE moving onto the next phase of his training. I personally feel that dressage is enjoying a resurgence in popularity at the moment and once again people are getting carried away with well known riders who are NOT always doing things correctly. Of course this is all aided and abetted by questionable/incompetent judging which is where the root cause lies, IMO. I am not sure how old Belarius is but it seems that when young horses show promise, not enough time is taken with them as owners are often in too much of a hurry to get them out there competing at Grand Prix when they are simply not ready.
I've never been a fan of Werth since long before warm ups became a place where the public could witness riders "training". I once saw her badly bullying a stallion into submission in Brussels during the warm up in the very early nineties and that was enough for me. I didn't need to see her again. It was not a happy horse and yes she still won. Have things changed, maybe not!? No one knows what is going on at home. Judges have to be able to see how a horse was trained in the ring, not difficult but mostly overlooked because there is no score for such and judges aren't looking. ~ However this horse has obvious problems that will manifest under any rider I feel. He will be 9 years old next year. He wasn't particularly balanced as a youngster no, I didn't quite see those same "immense career possibilities" in him as the Brandenburg State Stud saw, very weedy without the real power stability behind needed. His breeding is immaculate but the horse in front of one is a different story. I agree maybe he could've been forced a bit early, winning three year old and Bundes Ch five year old competitions as he did etc. These competitions are a very bad idea because horses must do things they're not ready for, especially things like extended trot.......they just don't have the balance or muscle. Belantis has very obvious weaknesses, second thigh, narrow, coordination.... but all said he's not balanced as an eight year old going on nine and that is a problem which is part training part physical short fall of the horse. Keeping a horse like this sound training to Grand Prix is going to be a problem unless they're extremely careful. I don't see it myself, not happily anyway. He would've made a very very nice show hunter in the UK. I love him very much anyway and wish him the very best. Hope the absolutely gorgeous Philharmonie produced a few more sons....

Es wurde mich nicht wundern dass dieses Pferd bald verkauft wird. Es zieht nicht wirklich an die Hand, auch nicht auf Trense (Videos von beatrice Buchwald auf Trense). Isabell reitet "auf zwei Pferde" weil die Vorhand nicht mit der Hinterhand über den Rücken verbunden ist. Aber bitte: zufriedener und entspannter kann ein Pferd nicht sein, wie ALLE Isabell'Pferde.
