same dude that says he doesn't know how to use advanced weapons in monster hunter, picks them anyways and says the game sucks and isn't for him. idk man, nothing he could do.
What kind of connection does SF6 use? If it's P2P then doesn't it mean that whoever's designated as the "host" basically has no latency? I might be wrong tho I'm not a fucking network expert or whatever lol
@@Jorvaltif that was true tho by Phil’s logic he would win all the matches he hosted in the network. Or he could host all the matches if he changed the settings
That… isn’t entirely impossible. Look, as much as I don’t like the guy, lag is something that can get anyone tilted. When you know what *should* happen and then it doesn’t, you feel like you’re getting gaslit. Regardless, Phil handles it worse then anyone I’ve ever met… and assumes lag where there doesn’t seem to be any.
@@Jorvaltfunny how the lag follows him into every online pvp game he plays and he pays for 2 expensive internet lines to one house, while everyone else just has basic internet
He never adapt to the lag dood Nothing he can do (Regardless u can play well in lag match too,u just need to adapt it but in phil case he just lag in his mind, cant adapt it,blame it on the players n the game for his sh*tty match
>Loses 99 matches due to major skill issue >"This game sucks, I hate it, it has shitty laggy inputs and all I am getting are scrubs to fight against, I'm not touching this shit ever again" >Wins one time on a fluke >"Aw hell yeah, now this will be kept in rotation for a long time, the streak is hot!"
29:26 Oh I absolutely love moments like this. Someone in his chat tries to argue his opponent wasn't playing in a cheap way, he immediately insults and bans them. He's SO childish.
That down kick from Ryu is 8 frames. The human reaction speed is like... 15 frames, if we're being generous. If Phil is trying to block that kick on reaction, he might as well try to catch bullets with his hooves.
He's constantly claiming that ~50ms is too laggy. Human reaction time is ~250ms, so there's no way he'd actually be able to react (or notice) within that time.
You're not reacting to a 15f move, that's like saying you never get command grabbed in many games because you can simply react to it. And add factors like the game delay, the monitor delay + the pad/stick/hitbox delay.
You think Phil would have looked up frame timing and done some basic math to realise by now that the game is designed for you to predict, not react to most stuff.
I mean no need to do math, that's always been the case since SF1. He's acting as if it's all about reacting but most of the basic shit is too fast to react to. At best you can react to some stuff if you're really focused and prepared to react (lowering reaction time), but Phil acts as if he can see and react to everything which is entirely impossible.
Just like the rest of his life, Decade of Phailure thinks that you don't have to adapt or change strategies from the game he was kind of decent at 20 years ago..
And predictions are always based on current state of the enemy/your character, it's not like there's a magical chance someone starts blacking mid-special or that he does a low kick from jump.
Everyone remember the honeymoon period of Master rank where he was singing praise about Street Fighter 6 and Capcom, and he was so excited about being able to reach Master that he bought the game again on a different console and dropped $300 to get a new fight stick? Yeah that all dried up really quick didn't it?
And in early 2024, phil will beg for a new PC and setup JUST to play sf6 and try to protect his ego. The irony of course being the platform has NOTHING to do with his horrendeous W/L record
He moved onto Master and all of a sudden the ELO rank system no longer exists in his mind. Almost like as you move upwards in a ELO system ladder, the opponents get better and better. But try to tell him that, and you'll be banned.
I know deep down it absolutely destroys Phil to lose match after match. Fighting games, specifically SF games are basically the only titles he understands the fundamentals to and when the outcome isn’t a win it absolutely destroys his ego. All while explaining to his audience why he should have won that match.
But thats the thing Phil actually isnt good, he's better than average because the average player is that bad, but against competent players phil is incompetent due to not understanding the bare minimum of things like frame data
So true. Phil brain 🧠 is goldfish and also just be wrong Phil same excuses your wrong!!! You leave Capcom out this Phil. Capcom is right and Phil is wrong.
I played SF6 for four hours yesterday. Zero laggy macthes. I beat some people, some people absolutely destroyed me, but i had fun. I guess i did everything wrong, and there was plenty i could do
It's baffling how Phil still doesn't understand when he can/can't push buttons in SF6. His decision making is so bad, he has to have some sort of alcohol-related brain damage.
I mean there are situations where modern has advantages such as instant supers and instant specials but I don't think that has anything to do with why he's getting wrecked.
@@christiansilvino9031 Literally not true. You could have the move come out a certain number of frames after the input in raw neutral and/or when a move that's special cancelled into it doesn't connect for example. Instead of it being instant which gives an advantage a classic player doesn't have. Make the amount of frames it comes out in around the average amount of frames it takes an average player to input the input for the given special. That's if they really wanted it to be a mode for people that struggle with inputs. That's just one idea. Not necessarily suggesting it should be that way or that it should be that way with the damage nerf. But it's one avenue they could have taken if it was strictly about appealing to a broader fanbase that struggles with inputs. It doesn't *have* to have an advantage it just does because they also wanted it to possibly be considered viable by veterans.
@@jackcoleman1784 no but that’s more or less what I meant. It’s supposed to be as viable. It’s really not tho. Classic is better. Which is likely a good thing. But I think modern is fine how it is. Weaker than classic, brings people in, and is a second control type as an option. I’ve enjoyed SF since 4 vanilla. And I play every character in modern. It’s just a fun alternative.
Did anybody else see that 6-hit combo of excuses Phil did? Wow...Phil is so good at landing those. His opponent doesn't stand a chance. He tried for 7 excuses in a row, but he dropped the excuse....>
i don't even know anything about SF6 and have never played it, but how many times did he do the teleport thing and then immediately get hit?! And he just KEPT on doing it over and over!
Phil loves his fans but refuses to let them play any games with him. 15 years as a streamer and no one likes him and the 5 people that do he won’t play with them.
It's weird how Master is garbage but he lost until his MR hit a certain point and he's now basically not gaining or losing points anymore. Looks like the MR system works perfectly. You can't fail upwards anymore in Master. He's right in that bottom-most echelon of master rank; the exact position "scrubs grind up to".
*Gets thrown or hit with Drive Impact* "WHERE'S MINE?!" I dunno Phil, I can hear EVERY SINGLE BUTTON those ham shanks you call hands are hitting, but their sudden silence during a drive impact leads me to believe that you didn't, in fact, hit the buttons that time.
This guy is disgusting, if he put as much effort into playing rather than reacting to his opponent's, he might actually do ok. If anyone deserves the hate they get its DSP.
I am 39 and last night i lost to a dhalsim. 20-1. He was just an amazing player and easily the best Sim ive fought. Sorry i mean there was lag and the game sucks
33:50 Ryu wiffs a shuiyuken with like 30% health. What does mr 4th place evo punish him with? A two hit combo... Any real street fighter player would have blown that ryu up there and probably won. DSP is trash
What does he mean by "blocking on reaction"? As far as I know, you have to be blocking in advance to block an attack. Does he think you should be able to block when the move is already out?
19:45 ok, no, hold on a second. Random super I can understand it, some people do unsafe supers and it works but that's just how life goes sometimes, alright... but "random JUMP" !?! You can't even jump over a fireball against him without getting called a scrub? What does he think fighting games are?
You'd think if these shitty modern players were so bad, a seasoned pro like DSP should have no problems winning, but he keeps getting his shit pushed in, how bizarre 😂
I think Phil doesn't like to play with his supporters because he knows he's a toxic player, and the moment his supporters beat him in Street fighter, or any competitive game, he knows he'll insult them to the point where they will no longer support him.
So, question for the SF6 pros: Is actually optimal to just grab after a perfect parry or you want to make a combo...or the pig is being more stupid that usual with his "non patterns"?
Grab after perfect parry is good for oki, often it's preferable over s combo because of heavy dmg scaling after a parry. Generally, I'd say grab is better than combo on most of the characters unless you can close the round with a combo
I think Phil is actually only his true self when he plays fighting games. He can't pretend to be a good dude when he's getting stomped and he reveals himself.
25:41 he literally is just pretending he didn't hold parry and gaslight people that witnessed that saying he did a move and the game canceled it out the moment he was thrown. No DR cancel, just one tap was heard
Anyone: asks a genuine question about his holiday plans Phil: thanks for the money but shut the fuck up. Don't even start asking things like that. Hit our tips goal btw
13:47 Smooth af transition. Also lol at 14:54 "I can't press anything!" *is in the middle of DIing* 22:06 "Every fucking horrible loser got into fucking master probably with the worst fucking player record you've ever seen." True. I also like that the Ryu that had just beat Phil really *wasn't* that good: Lots of jab starters, unoptimized combos, and overused DI, but Phil couldn't contain the guy at all. 32:20 "Do you see a pattern here?" Yes, DSP Tries It spliced two clips of you teleporting into someone's face and getting punished for it. Quality video making tbh.
Glad to see SF6 finally has reached the SF5 status. Capcom did a solid job fluffing up this pigroach ego by calling him a Master, but eventually reality is too much and piggy has no choice but to blame the game for his lack of skill.
If Phil ever have sliver of awareness of why his opponent never have a dropped input problem like he is, he would realized that it is HIS problem, not the game then he can start improving Nah, like that would ever happen lol
DSp still think that if the game lag only him have problem and the other player wont , they can just abuse it lol, wtf? Also he claim himself a pro fighting game player but he have zero frame knowledge. He is so noob, just a scrub
@@CamusSChe would never put himself in a spot where he didn’t have an excuse. His go to excuse for the arcade days was “the buttons on this machine are horrible.”
Everytime I hear someome complain about how anyone can get in Master now I hear "Capcom why can't I hide behind an insanely high learning curve in my fighting games anymore?".
