This may be a choice you guys made. But the overflow from Omnimon at 10:20 would not happen until after you have finished resolving takemikazuchi's effect. So memory would be set to 3 by takremikazuchi, then after resolving the rest of the when digivolving, overflow 5 would occur. Not sure what happened during the match so this may already have been spoken about. Sorry
Overflow is not a trigger effect though. It is part of the game rule, it is applied immediately regardless who's the turn player and any of the pending trigger effect. So in their case, Omnimon ACE is removed -> Overflow is applied (but already at 10 memory) -> rest of trigger effect starts activating.
In the offical Q&A you can't use Hacker's Pride delay effect to Blukmon who has no evolution source to recover in 12:20, but you can use Leon mind link to Bulkmon then use the Hacker's Pride delay effect to them, after that Leon still stay on battle arena. (Also I was wonder why Namakemon send to trash card zone after 9:27 ? If because Hacker's Pride delay effect, it should be still stay on battle arena, it is kind like De-Digivolve not just put it on top of security and trash the remain card)
