Did you buy the set? I was very disappointed when I went and played it. I’m a Yamaha guy and I wanted them to be a lot better than Roland but I wasn’t super happy with Yamahas come back.
@@williamperri3437 Nope I caved & got a Roland TD17KVX. I ended up not liking the sounds in it & I got lucky & found a really good deal for a Pearl Mimic Pro. I also upgraded some of my pads so essentially my kit is a Pearl Mimic Pro module with Roland & ATV pads.
@@johndoe-cv1gv playability I remember being very well! Of course the Chi pie hats are not gonna function as well as top notch hats, but as far as open and closing and triggering considerably well for the money the Yamaha did all that. I just wasn’t thrilled with the sounds. I can’t say for sure I absolutely like the sound of rolling the symbols better. Trust me, I am a fanatical Yamaha guy I had a recording costume in multiple Yamaha cats and Yamaha does everything well for the most part I was just hoping that these were much more of a competitor than the Rolands but I don’t believe they are yet. I’m doing voice text while driving which I don’t suggest but I hope this comes through clear! Lol
as you'll hear on a lot of yt videos from other sets in this price range... as far as i can tell you this kit, for me, is far better than a TD-17 (i sold my TD-17 for this set)
@@LuisSilvaMadsen I just played a TD,17 at guitar center and totally agree with you, the TD, 17 has horrible snare and kick sounds but the dtxpro sounds are outstanding especially the snare which is most important. Good luck with your kit.
