@@juliablania6239 i think elton has more reach. more ppl ehre know elton more than dua. dua is more of an american icon. elton is a universal icon. im 15 yrs old
@@satyabratamishra4670 Dua Lipa was born in London, England but I know what you meant. Elton is an icon, but Lipa not yet. ICON: A person (or thing) widely admired especially for having great influence or significance in a particular sphere. I gave your comment and UP vote.
What a year Dua Lipa had! To give her credit, she's grown so much in her vocals, performance,confidence and her stage presence. And I guess winning those Grammys has sort of raised up her energy and confidence level. It's like her way of telling her haters : suck it up, I'm here to stay bitches!;
God she’s so lucky to perform with this legend and she knows it. I love her equally amazed and flabbergasted expressions, as she looks over smiling at Elton throughout the song. What an honor.
So true. You can tell at the beginning that she can’t believe she is going to sing it with him. She really loves what she is doing and it shows. What a year she has had.
Yes,yes yes she's been Blessed for sure to perform with Elton John! I love Elton John because his is still a hell of a singer and a Legend! I like this young lady a lot!
i love dua lipa, but i disagree (respectfully). She has a great tone, but she is not a good singer. this girl is frequently out of tune and didn't have a great vocal range, despite the fact she is beautiful, has a good stage presence and an amazing body!
Dua is the best of the old songs and music, in a new era of music that's why she does that incredible music that sounds like 80's... Totally awesome ❤️
When they sing love again you can tell Sir Elton John is absolutely amused by her song. Especially when she sings "well GD you got me in love again!" I love his expression, I also love her expressions too. She know how big of a honor it is to sing with Sir Elton and it shows. I would LOVE to see them live.💗
Hopefully they enjoy what they sing since most of these songs are produced from songwriters and the record labels that market them. But they could just be paid to act like they'd rather not be doing anything else. Maybe not so much Elton but maybe Dua. Bottom line is they have agents and are under contracts.
@@lindseydickey9282 so, after researching both artist I have learned that elton works with a team of writers. Dua writes most of her own songs. She has had other writers come in and help too but she mostly writes her own. And I'm sure they do get paid well. But I can tell the difference between two people that are paid to be somewhere and hating each other vs if they enjoy the company of the other person. Here, they seem to enjoy each other and are having fun regardless of how much $$ they were paid to be there.
For 74 years old Elton John is really impressive pulling this off. Sure he had a lot of help between the mini orchestra and Dua Lupa with backup singers, but I only can hope to be as good at what I do as he is at his age playing the piano and singing (not that I can do either, but at my job). His piano playing on Love Again blew me away. He obviously learned the tune and agreed to perform it here - he is just amazing and the fact he sang part of it too surprised me.
He's been playing the piano all his life and aids charities are close to his heart, if he want's to raise money for them, why wouldn't he learn the song?
@@631353 I am just surprised he went through all that effort considering he officially retired a few years ago - why he is no longer performing for the most part and definitely no longer writing new music.
@@Buc_Stops_Here he hasn’t retired lmfao, his farewell tour got postponed two years, he’s gonna be beforming for the end of 2021, 2022 and the beginning of 2023, he is only retiring from massive world tours, he only writes music when he actually wants to write music, he even said it in an interview with Jimmy kimmel
@@mrquail5299 He has retired from doing albums and any scheduled performances. Everything else from now on out is one-off (in other words, he agrees to it and does it). He is not a regular performer anymore by any measure.
@@Buc_Stops_Here no he hasn’t?, watch his interview with Jimmy kimmel, he makes it clear that he will still make records and so the occasional shows after the farewell tour has concluded
My first concert... Dodger Stadium 1974 with Emmy Lou Harris ---- Benny and the Jets - definitely a favorite Elton John tune...... at nearly 62 years of age I can still appreciate a MUCH younger artist such as Dua Lipa, as far as I'm concerned she's already a legend. A beautiful and talented young lady with an equally beautiful and talented voice!! I hope that her career continues as long as Elton John's career. Dua Lipa's rendition of Benny and the Jets was exactly what I expected PERFECTION and a wonderful tribute to a LIVING LEGEND.....
Absolutely adore how Elton opens up his piano parts when Dua starts singing. Just brilliant lines perfectly complimenting her voice. What a fabulous duet.
I'm an old fogey, an Elton fan since the early 70s- i like her a lot, she's extremely beautiful, she seems very nice and she can sing. And now they have a hit together, Cold Heart, a remix of 4 of his songs. She nails the Rocket Man section in it superbly, the best i've heard it.
I love at around 5:31 when Elton has his solo vocal in Love Again. He seems to be putting-on a voice. A sort of puffed up rushed singing voice. It's not his usual singing voice. I have to say I love it very much! I have never heard him sing in that particular style before.
Wow! Two Icons from different generations together. They sound amazing. Elton who has sang everything for over several generations and you have Dua Lipa who can sing ANYTHING! Great collaboration.
She's good but nobody will remember Dua Lipa in 5 yrs time because she's peaked far too early in her career like many artists of today and for the ones that don't have major hits anymore as a solo artist are now duetting just to keep their dying career's going. It's better to have a stable career like Elton did.
@@jaggass nah, Dua is already an Icon, I think the only one duetting to keep his career is Elton, with Dua, Lady Gaga, Rina etc. Which I think is very good, new generations deserve to know Elton John, stop shading talented artists
@@d1694 She maybe classed as an icon now but in 5 yrs time totally forgot about. You never hear about Adele, Rihanna, Beyonce etc anymore. Artists from the 20th century simply had much longer and more stable careers.
@@jaggass maybe because thats not the kind of music you listen to, i assure you that artists like rihanna, adele, beyonce are still relevant to the pop scene, the difference is that elton is not just an artist but a symbol to a lot of people, because of representativeness and thats why hes still so influential.

Wow!! I love this!! Elton John is one of my favorite male singers of all time!! He's absolutely amazing!! We saw him in concert in Houston, twice. He was awesome!! Love him!! xoxo
WOW!!!! Bet Dua teared up when she turned up and realised that it was actually happening - performing alongside Britain’s greatest solo artist ever. What an honour. And how beautifully they both sang ❤️❤️❤️
I love Elton, always have. You can definitely tell he is getting older when they sang Bennie and the Jets, but wow, doing Dua Lipas' song was great. I also really like her songs and videos.
How great to have Elton sing his old song along with this young and amazing singer with her fantastic voice. And then for Elton to sing along side on her song.
I'm sure that Elton is doing as you are telling him Mikey and is immediately lowering all the keys. He would not like to be on the wrong side of you would he??
I just listened to Are You Ready by Armed Gang on Radio Ativa just now. If Dua had a time machine, she would definitely back then 1983 and know each member then it release a collaboration which be a hit song
I've always liked Elton and this is probably my favorite song by him - BUT - I've heard better versions by him - He adds some nice piano flourishes, but It somehow doesn't flow as well as those earlier versions.
And Elton is so lucky to pair up with dua ....to be able to knock out a modern song with a young star and be comfortable with it show the professionalism and the ability to please...both are great in my book and both are worthy of singing together...!!🙂
