What an amazing 1019! I have a new one "in the box". It's never been used. I've been waiting for inspiration to put it in a plinth and I think I just found my answer! Thanks!
There is no need to "SAVE" your 1019. It has the ruggedness and design to run 50Y every day, with proper maintenance! Do you know is its equal today? NOTHING.
Da hast du eine traumhaft schöne Zarge gebaut, und ich bin froh das ich dieses Video entdeckt habe. Ich habe nämlich selber vor wenigen Tagen einen sehr schönen Dual1019 gebraucht gekauft in tollem Zustand. Allerdings in einer hässlichen Zarge! Seit tagen bin ich auf der Suche nach der richtigen Inspiration, jetzt habe ich sie mit deinem Video gefunden. So wird sie werden, allerdings in tiefdunkelblau. Hast du Mdf Bretter übereinander verleimt und dann hohl gefräst, oder nur das obere als Brett und dann mit Rahmen. Und nett wäre wenn du mir verrätst, wo ich die Haube herbekomme. @@martinzahn1355 Hallo Martin, diese Hauben sind von Elac Plattenspieler. Die hatten eine große Zarge mit Fach auf der rechten Seite. Ich brauchte nur zwei Schlitze in die Zarge einarbeiten und die Haube rein stecken. Sehr einfach. Ich glaube ich habe sogar noch eine. Wenn du wirklich Interesse hast. Grüße
This is do-it-yourself. I had three identical box-shaped frames. The lid is an Elac 50H Igor 770 turntable. Pretty tough. I had a lot of fun. Check out my other videos. Stained white and painted black. Best regards

What are you saying? A properly set up dual turntable sounds fantastic. There are 10K tables that do not touch the 1019. Full auto to boot. You must lile manual belt tables.
@@Poppinwheeeeellllllieeeeez I actually gave up turntables about 20 years ago. I'm fortunate to be able to have access to a High-end Digital Transport and Dac System. I never went back to the nose and rumble of a stylist being dragged through the groove of a vinyl record. I discovered a long time ago that on a very revealing stereo system, turntables/vinyl came in second in providing a clean and distortion-free signal source like a high-end digital source can.😎
It all depends on where YOUR 'end' begins. The Dual 1019 was my first 'real' turntable when it came out and with the proper cartridge, it still does very well against the modern merry-go-rounds. (like my Andover-One Record Player)
