Since it seems like you don't want to remove the knob and epoxy it to the correct shaft, which is the obvious approach, you could make the shaft on the new piece smaller so it will slide into the collar.

Jim: I believe that your new lever is for a Dual 1219 which, although they look similar are quite a bit different.

i think the safest way is to try making the shaft smaller/thinner than drilling out the hole, i expect drilling will damage connection.

Can you remove the black knob (by cutting a small slice and forcing it off), Putting it onto old shaft with JB Weld

3 options. First option, shave the diameter of the shaft down a bit, second option drill out the hole a bit, third option find the correct part.

Do you know how i can take out my turntable out of my console stereo? I have the same turntable as you in my electrohome console but my start/stop dosen’t work. All the other things works perfectly!
