Cricket in India is not just a sport, Cricket in India is like a religion. Cricketers are loved and treated like gods by fans in India. Cricketers enjoy a demigod status. But there is another side to these fans too. In this video I have discussed about the same toxic side of these fans. It ranges from online harassment to duality of fans to discrimination based on religion to effigy burning.

I only trolled players when i was 15-16 after that I realized they are the same players who are going to make us proud, After that I never abused any player, Idk how to adults abuse them.

Absolutely brother, that's why we are far behind from Westerners in rational thinking, it is just a sport enjoy it and move on from here, cricket is not only sports for watching, there many sports to watch even if you are watching it enjoy it and move on, don't be individual obsessed and abusive when they are not performing because they are not machine, and so much obsession and bulling in social media became common now days, actually unemployed youth has just this way to show their frustation

It's right to raise voice against trolls but calling Indian Fans "WORST AND MOST TOXIC" reflects your colonial mindset. I am Virat Kohli fan and certainly not proud of TROLLERS but that's the reality of every cult. Instead highlights the healthy fan banters which will motivate and give alternate reality to those failed products how to behave.

I called them the worst and the most toxic because it is true. Idk how colonial mindset is being reflected in this. It is a fact. You don't see such instances outside. For example England fans did not abuse ben stokes or his family members even when he lost them the T20 WC 2016 (4 sixes in 4 balls in the last over). I can't imagine what would have happened to any Indian cricketer if he would have done the same. The amount of toxicity in IPL is nowhere seen in other leagues like BBL and the instances of abusing the family members and women is not seen either. I hope you got my point :)

The amount of fake fans is just mind blowing. These fan boys and fan girls who haven't touched a bat or a ball not even learnt what is cricket. I once called out a few fan girls in my college and literally they coined me the term misogynist. Your words were exactly what I have always felt over the years. People need to be educated about online literacy as well.

But I feel that CSK, MI and RCB all have equal amount of toxic fans in their fanbases. That's what I feel, you might have a different opinion which is completely fine. But I don't agree with your last point, this year they celebrated like that after defeating csk because they qualified after winning 6 in 6 of the last matches (they literally created history) and that match was also a very thrilling one.
