A good repair video.... many years ago i used to work for a white goods repair company ( mainly on the installation side ) - one of the tests they used to give any prospective engineer was to take the fuse out of the mains plug & see how long it took for them to find that it was missing. I lost count of the number of candidates who would rush straight ahead & strip down the appliance to its constituent parts before doing a simple fuse check!!! Wow 50Amps - what a jacobs ladder or tesla coils that would power!!!
Exactly!! Always read the exam paper to the end before starting the test!! - I remember there was a little note at the end of an exam paper, if you've read this note, put your pen down and relax - the less questions you try to answer the more marks you'll get! :-)
Ah, check the simple obvious stuff first. Is it plugged in and to a working circuit? Fuse okay? Clamps/wires... at least you did find it, and got to investigate the innards of this so that was cool.

As far as checking for loose or broken lead connections, been there, got the bumper sticker and t-Shirt for not not doing the KISS method. Always makes me fell like a dumba$$!
