Dub FX is a worldwide street performer and studio recording artist. He creates intricate hip hop, dubstep, reggae, beatboxing and drum and bass rhythms.
EXIT is the two-time winner of the “Best Major European Festival” award along with the continuous recognition by the global music stars, fans and media alike.
Held each year at the 18th Century colossal Petrovaradin Fortress in the city of Novi Sad in Serbia, EXIT started as a student movement whose massive protests brought down the oppressive regime in Serbia. EXIT became the first mass event to gather all the people in Balkans after a long decade of divisions.
Celebrated as a place where hedonism meets activism, it is the social relevance of EXIT that has made it unique and globally recognized hosting stars like The Prodigy, Arctic Monkeys, Madonna, The Killers, Sex Pistols, Guns’n’Roses, Arcade Fire, Beastie Boys, David Guetta, Carl Cox, Nina Kraviz, Patti Smith, Motorhead, LCD Soundsystem, Wiz Khalifa, Snoop Dogg, Wu-Tang Clan, Andy C, DJ Shadow, and countless many more at 30+ stages in nearly two decades since its inception in 2000. This is probably the most 'like-professional' Dub FX show on youtube. For me, his true talent lies in bringing music out into unprepared places, evangelizing the reality and immediacy of live performance, so this isn't his core product--but nonetheless, if you want to get some idea what his style is, this is pretty representative. The addition of Andy V has really upped the energy level of his shows, and they seem to be on similar wavelengths. To me, Umphrey's McGee and Dub FX are the premier musicians of this age, reinventing live performance and how musicians make a living for a new age. See if he's someone you'd like to see live...the lack of public space in the USA means he needds to be able to fund a tour to come here. So I want him to have some more fans this side of the Ocean(s).

Ah but you are missing the point.. Everything here played was inspired, designed and created on the street, His home, his base to the creativity we all have come to be blown away by. Taking his creations finished to the world stage especially a festival was always going to be a different, If you were disappointed by the unexpected then you kinda miss the point of what DubFX actually stands for..

To see Dubfx go from street performing to a big screen behind him while on stage is ... for me ... a sad thing. Street art I always admire and I spend most of my money on culture there on the streets when it's summer time and all the artists from other countries come to share their art with us people on the streets. Big stages, big shows, big things we've got enough, if you ask me. This summer nothing of that sorts happens... I hope this cultural event will not die and come back next year. It's the STAMP festival in Hamburg, Germany. There is no freedom which "unites us" when those street performers finally "make it" on the big stages. It loses its authenticity.
