Seems to be a short - knobs and fades giving little shocks from time to time and i try to get away quickly when it happens - but have to return to do the mix - and…maybe because somehow i like it 😇
Nice I like it... The down site is the same over and over and over... It's like the track is on repeat. Can't use it, it will irritate my client and guests.
Excellent stuff ! i was wondering how have you got the setup midi mapped and with which fx plugins incl. feedback returns for the delay fx ... if that's part of your setup ? Also do you find that the Akai midimix has too small knobs for full control or doesn't this effect the control of the mix in practice / while jamming ?
Thanks, Happy to hear you like it :) This is a very stripped down template, with the files already mixed and fx on top. I only use a few returns for the dub FX. There is mostly Ableton built in plugs. Apart from that I use NI plugs like replika. Of course the knobs aren't very big, but i think it's alright with some practice. Also it is possible to replace the knobs yourself with bigger ones. 1Love
Could you know what is the reason that after connecting midimix first fader in akai midimix in ableton is disabled? other faders are automatically assigned to correct path in ableton. If I teach first fader to first path is ok, but when i switch to the second bank on right side then first fader still control path but still on first bank not second bank?
Not quite sure if that is the reason, but did you try turning off the default mapping of the Akai? When I connect the Akai automatically tries to detect everything and that is kind of messy. I always midil earn the complete set up myself with a blank controller as the defaultset up doesn't work for me.
Should work, not seamless though. Have a friend using studio one on win and it seems to require more calibration and set up. Ableton is pretty much plug and play.
