For this is better to go with a mainland company in Dubai. Even though, with DIFC is possible to have a cafe/smoothie company there but only within the area of the DIFC Free Zone.

Yes, for an eCommerce business you’re perfectly fine with a Free zone company in Dubai. Amazon is also in a Free zone in the UAE. So selling on Amazon.ae it’s not considered doing business with UAE mainland.

These are separate things. The 3 months in Dubai are for your UAE tax residency. And you also need to exit your tax residency from Canada. You can technically be tax resident of both countries and then you can use the tax treaty to avoid paying tax in Canada. It’s kinda limited though so it’s good to exit your tax residency completely long-term. @MartinZhel Web design. How do you transfer ownership? From what I learnt from your video, I want to transfer ownership of my current UK company to a free zone company w/ combined professional & commercial trade license in Dubai, as I want to do ecommerce on the side also. Then apply for Visa, and complete the tax residency period. I'm not sure how transferring ownership works though...
Corporate tax in freezones is now 9% unless you're in few very specific businesses. Even money you earn outside of UAE is now taxable over 375k. I've been told this by several tax experts. Are they wrong?
@MacSaxe Freezones are tax free. It is only the mainland that has 9% corporation tax. As long as the money is going into your UAE bank account, where it comes from doesn't effect your taxes (unless its mainland to your freezone I think).
