■ BUSINESS BAY DISTRICT:
Business Bay is a central business district under construction in Dubai, UAE. The project features numerous skyscrapers located in an area where Dubai Creek has been dredged and extended, and located immediately south of Downtown Dubai. Business Bay will have upwards of 240 buildings, comprising commercial and residential developments. The infrastructure of Business Bay has been completed in 2008, and the entire development was expected to be completed between 2012-2015. Business Bay is part of the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashed Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Ruler of Dubai. Business Bay will be a new 'city' within the city of Dubai and is being built as a commercial, residential and business cluster along a new extension of Dubai Creek extending from Ras Al Khor to Sheikh Zayed Road. Covering an area of 5,900,000m2, once completed it will be composed of office and residential towers set in landscaped gardens with a network of roads, pathways and canals. It will become the region's business capital as well as a freehold city.
BUSINESS BAY DUBAI CANAL:
Dubai Canal is an artificial water canal unveiled on 2 October 2013 and inaugurated on 9 November 2016. The canal side-walk comprises one shopping centre, four hotels, 450 restaurants, luxury housing, walkways and cycle paths. It is a 3.2km long project starting from Business Bay into the Persian Gulf through Safa Park and Jumeirah. The width ranges from 80m to 120m. It is 6m deep and be crossed by 8m high bridges. It creates new public places and facilities with a total area of 80,000m2 with private marinas for boats and a trade centre at the entrance of the canal. The development was designed by AE7 Architects and Planners.
Built by BESIX Group subsidiary Six Construct, the canal is crossed by 3 pedestrian/bicycle bridges, including the Dubai Water Canal Bridge, which is more known as the Twisted Bridge and the Bridge of Tolerance, so named by His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai on November 15, 2017.
DUBAI WATERFALL:
These captivating man-made waterfalls are like exquisite works of art that make it impossible to take our eyes off them. It is a visual treat to watch such aesthetic features of these waterfalls, and they succeed to attract every tourist that visits Dubai. These waterfalls are illuminated with bright colours at night making your experience purely magical and delightful.
The entire development covers an area of 4,360,000m2, and the gross leasable area is 7,290,000m2. The projected population of the entire development is more than 191,000, and the estimated population of employers and others is 110,000, making the total population more than 300,000. Commercial development will comprise 246,494.4m2, which is 18.5% of the entire development; mixed use development will comprise 791,568.1m2) (59.4%); and residential development will cover 293,910.7m2 (22.1%). Business Bay will cost AED 110 billion (US$30 billion).
