I love how it even includes an "Unused Loop Point" in each CD track, it really is a little detail that makes it even better... Although, i really feel like the Past Mix could be a little more "SNES-like compressed", keeping in mind that it actually runs in Console Hardware, reading samples and stuff I really hope someone is tempted to make an entire recreation of R2 on SCD 2011
You know they said they don’t want to stray too far away from the original but this is a cut part of it no excuse why not to heck i would so not mind hearing an American track of this
@@soaringstars314 But the thing with salad plains, not only it was a beta PPZ, but it also means that the uncompressed past version, was just cut content
@@soaringstars314 l8 answer lol Even then, i would like it better if it stays truth to the actual finalized product, that's what SEGA might also wanted
Its funny how R2 present was in our faces posing as the D.A Garden theme the entire time and the whole community never knew until someone got one of the devs (Mazin) to talk on twitter

Man, listening to these is just like euphoria; the Present is an absolute banger, the Past has perfect crunchy / primal vibes, the Bad future is epic as hell, and the Good Future is simply beautiful. Honestly, I feel like the legacy of Relic Ruins was far more exciting than the actual Dubious Depths level that was discovered. Major props to Jalex777 for kickstarting the saga, Master's Remixes for the superb arrangements, and of course, the absolute legend; Alex Lee himself, for the original composition.
At least this time, you guys went out of your way to make sound more like Sonic CD. Side-Note: These are probably my favorite versions of "Take It" now.
I love this so much, especially the present theme, it's like something straight from the game. But now i wonder how a US version of this zone would sound like...
@@Theepicrichard420 Not entirely. I made Relic Ruins Bad Future and Good Future US, and the present theme was made by Nicolas Quiles, the same guy who made Desert Dazzle JPN. I'm literally remaking all of my Relic Ruins US tracks, and I'm currently making the past theme right now as I'm making this comment.
At this point I just wanted Sega to rerelease CD with this level fully worked. We've come to know so much about it and the fact there's still people out there scavenging it is amazing.
cant wait for the 116th comment about how "this aint the music" or "the zone is called dubious depths" i mean damn leave them be this was before we learned all that and dont use the tags as evidence "he knew" cause you can update those.
I see alot of r2 fantracks but they all sound like they don't fit with the funk that is with each cd level. But these sound so good that they would fit in with the rest of the tracks. Good job
First I will say, yes everyone knows the official R2 theme is the D.A Garden one so yes I'm aware about this, but leaving this aside, I honestly love a lot this theme and it's retake, one of my favorite fan made themes of all time and I kinda want to add this them in some way into a Sonic Game.
A lot more has been unearthed about R2 (and the fact that it was probably called Dubious Depths, and uses the DA Garden tune as the present melody). still, this is so good independent of all of those new facts
Ohhh epic! Another Alex Neri remix for me to jam to and add to my playlist. I wish it wasn't always this song, but it's always a pleasant surprise nonetheless!
Level Slot is Between Palmtree Panic Zone and Collision Chaos Zone Because Palmtree Panic Zone is R1 And Relic Ruins Zone is R2 And Collision Chaos Zone is R3 So Palmtree Panic Zone -> Relic Ruins Zone -> Collision Chaos Zone
I'd love to see more songs by the guy who made Take It! get turned into Sonic CD style remixes. That would be artsy, neat, and probably really catchy! Some of my favorites of his songs like Take The Best, Love Me, Year of The Cat, Holy Dance, Gonna Go Out, Chase The Sun, Paleolitic, and more would be cool to hear! Maybe one day someone will do that? That would be an M-Bison "YES YES" moment.
2:02:it took me time to realize that this screen show R2 zone, before that I was through that the screen is actually sowing tidal tempest, and it's really fells bad that this was under developing and didn't get finished
Oh my god YES! I remember watching the original ones when you fooled us with some Alex Lee music. Hey if it's possible, can you bring or upload the original ones back or make a separate collection of all 3 originals?
This could be called "sonic CD:the lost marbles" (get it, cause originally CD was just a reimagend version of sonic 1 so all levels are just copys from sonic 1 levels)
Well the real name of r2 has been reavealed it's dubious depth(or ridicule roots for the early name) not relic ruins but actualy to me confirm if it is what i think but it was a proof of concept of r2 right? Cause now we know the real name people might be alerted that relic ruins isn't the real name cause there's still people that don't know
That Bad Future looks like Underground, not bad future. The clean blue water, little mechanization or destruction, the only thing that hints Bad Future is the mechanic pillar (which is pretty intact for a Bad Future) and the brownish pallete, which of a lot of Bad Futures use, though it could easily belong to any timeline
@@jalex777 Sonic CD is my favorite game, my favorite game OF ALL THE GAMES IN THE WORLD. I have listened to music from there many times. I found MIDI files, studied the structure of this music. If you are writing a soundtrack for zone R2, then you need to make this music so that it is similar to the one that is in the game. That's the problem, if they gave me the music from the original and the music from this video, it would immediately become clear that all this was done by different people.
(🇺🇲/🇬🇧) Hey! Mr. Jalex! I got an Request Idea! Can you Make the 3 Fan-Made OST Levels that I Made: the One is "Harder Highway" the Second is "Coldwayne Castle" and the Third is "Rock-a-Bye Rockland". i have a zone theory before relic ruins was unused 1. Palmtree Panic 2. Relic Ruins 3. Collision Chaos 4. Tidal Tempest 5. Quartz Quadrant 6. Wacky Workbench 7. Stardust Speedway 8. Metallic Madness
@@jalex777 Unfortunately, downloading isn't enabled on Master's soundcloud page. I was hoping there would be a way to get the original master quality =/
@@jalex777 I'm well aware that you can download the stream, but that just degrades the already lossy stream with another lossy transcode. Thanks anyway; I'll try to reach out to them directly on soundcloud
Make attention those songs are confirmed to be fake The true musics of Dubious Depths/Ridicule Root (R2) is D.A Garden Theme, a brief remix of the bad future music is present in techno power mix and Sonic Stream possess the chord progression, the handclaps and the bassline of the R2 Good Future music (Sonic Stream is also a remix so it's not the true music but a remix)
