Most burger places here in Ireland won't cook med-rare because it's not officially allowed accord to food standards for ground beef, but if it's a cut of beef like a ribeye or fillet you can have it raw (steak tartare) if you want. Tartare is considered difference because it's knife cut and served to order, not ground in a machine. I agree about bunsen, its really good. I prefer El Grito to Masa. Masa is owned and operated by Irish people, El Grito is Mexican owned and operated, and about half the price.

I see! Thank you so much for clarifying! Here, in the States, they just give us a warning before serving undercooked meat and you come to not think of the possible consequences as much, u know. So, when in Bunsen, I thought maybe I should stick to medium temps from thereon 😅Next time, I'll have to check El Grito! So many locals recommended it. But how about you, what kind of places do you go to all the time? your favorites?

Temple Bar is a tourist trap/pub theme park thet is designed with the sole purpose of seperating you from your money by grossly overcharging for everything. Dont go there tourists, you will miss out on absolutely nothing.

Fifty years ago, when I lived in Dublin, no one had ever heard of tacos. My mom sent me a tin of tortillas, a can of diced chiles, refried beans, and salsa. I got the right spices at an Indian spice shop and made Mexican rice. I had a taco party. My Irish friends loved them. I also had to make my own pizza because none was available. Now, tacos and pizza are all over the place. You can get rare steaks or prime rib.

Ground beef should be cooked well done. It’s not like a steak where the meat inside is protected. Ground beef is fully exposed to air and therefore can be exposed to bacteria.

Northern Ireland cuisine Irish cuisine is Irish cuisine if they said Ulster slight variation. Boxty House it’s in Temple Bar is a take on Irish food. That’s a little bit more modern than Irish food but very good. Seafood Café excellent. Well, Ireland has the most excellent seafood you will ever imagine and fish and chips. You can’t go to the Leo Burdock for fish and chips. If you went up to Howth , it’s about a half an hour north of Dublin OMG, the best seafood in the world and great fish and chips The Irish aren’t as loud as thier American cousins

If you're in The Palace Bar - they used to sell "D'Arcy's Double Stout" a much better pint than their Giuinness

Temple bar is the most expensive area of Dublin. It exists just to feck over tourists with extortionate prices.

Locals eat and drink at South William Street - just off Grafton Street. Locals avoid Temple Bar.
