This is Part I, where I simply install parts on the Desert X to my liking that would work great for a long distance journey. Part II will reveal the whole set-up including luggage and storage options and riding footage. Stay tuned!
Disclaimer: I am not a professional mechanic but I prefer to work on my bikes. I have not owned an adventure bike here in the U.S since 2019 as I travel a lot for work and get to ride a lot of different bikes. I recently purchased a brand new 2023 Ducati Desert X which will most likely end up in special projects for my job. But before putting any miles on it, I wanted to set it up the way I wanted.
