Ducati DesertX First Ride Review
A first ride review of the 2022 Ducati DesertX.
Thanks to Ducati London, I get to test ride the motorcycle which everyone is talking about, the 2022 DesertX. Ducati says it's a bike with an intense off-road attitude, but how well does this bike tackle the streets? Find out as I ride this bike through London and the country lanes of Essex.
I also take this bike off-road for a quick photoshoot and share some extreme adventure footage thanks to Ducati UK.

Have one coming, supposedly late August here in the States.. saw the prototype at a Ducati event in Denver, and it really does look better in person. They’ll sell all they can build

I ordered mine 3 months before the December 9 launch. Just guessing what it could be given the Dream Wilder marketing theme - and right I was… an Africa Twin competitor in Cagiva Elephant disquise with a Ducati soul.. Got it five weeks ago. Perfect on and off road bike for long and short expeditions. Feels special.

Nice video Phil , reminds me of the older Cagiva Elefant bike from the ninetys . Not a real fan of adventure bikes as really too expensive to risk an off-road fall !!! I'll stick with my old xr400 for that and the triple for the road 👍 ps great pics at the embankment classy 👍

I’m not sure how many people with adventure bikes actually take them off road, maybe for the reason you pointed out! That XR sounds like a lot of fun! 😁

The Cagiva Elefant was my thought also, looks good although quite expensive, hopefully the Ducati quality has gotten better, bikes like these are often taken more remotely and therefore need to be reliable, something KTM really has problem with!

I really like the Desert X; however, it may be too tall for my short inseam. Oh, well I can always dream about one.
