I actually wish that my Tenere had the lighted buttons on the handles. If it's been a while since you rode or you're switching bikes, being able to quickly glance down in the dark and see where your buttons are could be helpful.
I agree. I love that feature on any bike. By the way, loved riding your Tenere. That review should be out in a week or two...or three. :) Thanks for letting me ride it to The High Roads Cabins, in La Grande Oregon. Available on Air bnb...How's that for a quick plug?
I just rode the Triumph Rocket 3 GT (Would like the try the R), and it's a beast! I like the forward controls, the hidden passenger pegs and the way it rides. Very comfortable and plenty of power with 250ccs. Zero to 60 in 2.7 seconds and for a 700 pound bike fully loaded, that's very quick. I think both bikes are comparable in several ways but with Ducati being a bit lighter it's just a bit faster off the line and if you don't mind the pegs being right underneath you, it's definitely a great bike to zip around on. A lot of fun!!! The Triumph may be slightly better for distance in my opinion and though it's heavier, it's pretty nimble for what I consider to be a bigger bike. Ducati sits slightly higher from the seat but not a bad thing at all. I know this isn't the exact bike you asked about but the Rocket 3 GT just happens to be the next review I have coming out on the channel. Did this help at all???
@@MotorcycleMonkey wow, thanks for the that info. I'm a man built with a smaller inseam as well, lol so this is good info on whether I can flat foot it or not. I'll definitely check out your review when it comes out. Subbed!!
@@MotorcycleMonkey I prefer the diavel1260 compares to the X. The forward peg position makes you back hurt for longer rides. The S model also do not come with ohlins or DQS. Better deal getting the 1260. I don't know why the x cost more.
Beautiful motorcycle. LED back lit switches is a nice touch. Upright seating position is great but pegs behind you not so good. Now wear those gloves and represent. Because safety is paramount. Ride safe and ride often. Peace.
Agreed about safety. I'll have to search for better gloves. The ones I have are too bulky. I'm also very lazy so I'll stop procrastinating and get on it. Thanks for watching and hope you'll check back soon.
Luke, for the life of me I can't get either one of my kids to ride with me for a short bit to answer that question. My wife's back is completely trashed so she can't. I've solicited a a couple of friends to help me out with what the back seat is like on the bikes I review so I'm really hoping to be able to answer this question in the near future. Sorry about that on this one...
My wife and I are buying this bike in spring, we're choosing it because the seat is one of the most comfortable we've ever tried together besides those boats like Goldwings or heavily modified Gliders... Mind you, she's 5'2", so maybe the cramped up legs are going to be more of a problem for someone taller.
@@tankusfred Truly love this bike. I try to get a passenger to review the seats but none of my family will get on back. I need to find someone to do this on all the bikes I review. Stoked you're getting one. What area of the Country/World are you in?
@@olivierred007007 I've read that it does but have not seen one in person yet to ride it. I've had a couple of buddies ask about that as well. As I understand it, it's very comfortable. I'll see if I can get my hands on one.
