Better video is up at • Ducati Diavel V4 with ...
I haven't seen a video of the Diavel v4 in the wild outside of a test ride, so here's one with the titanium race exhaust and raw sound. I didn't latch the back seat correctly so it's bouncier than usual.

great video. possible to do it startup warm up and high rev on not moving motorcycle. Wind kind of making it hard to listen. Also, dealer told me if i get that exhaust i have to take the bike for map flash did you get it as well? Thanks

Yes, definitely want to do map flash, power delivery is *much much much* better. It is a demon with new map. I'll get a new video going with better sound.

A better video is up at ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ri-E07g3Z4g.html - I didn't capture any gurgles though, when you starve it's there but a lot less pronounced than the V2.

The official dealer purchased Akrapovic exhaust should come with a map. A better video of the sound is here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8e0Kcpkh-fE.html

Is this good for a beginner bike? Because i wanna buy it it looks beautifull !!
@gothamtrails
@gothamtrails Год назад
Tough to say, I have a strange perspective because I started with much heavier much torquer electric motorcycles. For me, it's pretty perfect and the best all around bike I own.
@DoganC7
@DoganC7 Год назад
@@gothamtrails would you suggest it for a beginner ? Because it looks like an all round bike and thats why i wanna have it not to slow not to fast like a racing bike just casual or im i wrong haha
@gothamtrails
@gothamtrails Год назад
@@DoganC7 I don't think I'm qualified to answer that. It is a powerful bike and many would consider it "heavy" (1300+ CC? Almost 500 pounds wet). Most people would recommend lower CC and lighter-weight bike to start. Maybe try a test ride?
@slow_bike_show

@GialloRosso it's not a good beginner bike, no. It's much too fast and much too heavy to build good skill quickly. If you like Ducatis, find an old Monster 696 or scrambler 400. Great all-around bikes like the new Diavel with a great sound to them. If you're impartial and want something "fast", a yamaha MT-07 is a great bike as well to learn on. Your first bike is there to teach you and get you confident handling machines that beat out supercars while taking 100% focus to balance through corners. Learn on something that isn't 30 grand and something that won't kill you- good luck!!

This bike is too heavy and powerful for a beginner. I recommend having at least 10 years under your belt before getting a monster like this. This is in the same class as a VMAX1700 and Rocket3.

Are there any pops and crackles in it?
@gothamtrails
@gothamtrails Год назад
Yes! I'll upload a better quality version in the future. It gurgles, pops and crackles but it isn't as loud as the Diavel v2, but definitely makes a statement still. It roars at high RPM.

Thanks for your comment! much appreciated. I was a bit shocked by the Akra specs. 108db with Db killer and 109db without. I had the 1260s with Termignoni and it was way below Db level there. Even without Killers. My Akra will arrive this week. How is your experience, does it make much louder noise. Grtz Peter
@gothamtrails
@gothamtrails Год назад
@@petervanderhoeven7433 Much louder, yes. I think it's a necessity. It goes from sounding like a lawn mower to a Ducati. Low tone at low RPM and when the additional cylinders kick in to a slightly higher pitch.

Cheers for the update… Do you think it is worth the money?
@gothamtrails
@gothamtrails Год назад
@@petervanderhoeven7433 Hard to answer, it’s relative. If money wasn’t an issue, it’s absolutely worth it. It sounds better, produces more power and still has a catalytic converter. On the other hand I’m sure in a few months you’ll see aftermarket pipes with even more savings for much cheaper.

I own it too, 12000 miles in 5 months, love it. The 1260S is deafeningly loud with Termignoni. All in all, I prefer the V4 a lot more. The handling is a lot better, power delivery is better, the braking, the finish, the software, the USB port, the sound on the top end is nicer than the 1260 in my opinion but the V2 definitely gurgles and cracks a lot more. I'm excited for the V4 S.

@@leehiggins6468 Yes. Do a 200 mile speed run on the V4, you’ll see (you definitely need the exhaust and new map though). It’s refined in comparison, the 1260S is rough (which is why I love it).
