The motorbike that was ridden all over the Spain in MotoGeo's latest adventure was the Ducati Multistrada S Touring.
Starting off in the city snow, then ridden on the highway, twisty mountain roads and dirt trails, Jamie Robinson tested the new Multistrada S to the full and now MotoGeo brings you the lowdown.

I've not ridden the Aprilia so I cannot say until I do, but from what I have ridden so far, I find the Multistrada hard to beat.

its a very GOOD bike,modern bike,amazing bike..especially the engine...but sorry its a FASSION accessory...a "jack of all trades but a master of none bike."....i think a GREAT bike has character,has soul and especially IDENTITY...its just you and the feel of your bike while riding..not being controlled by a computer...this bike just do it all for you..now wheres the fun in that????your like a flea on a dogs coat...your just in for the ride...not actually riding yourself..

This was the last review i watched last year before going out and buying myself one. 5k miles down the road I can honestly say this is the best bike I have ever ridden. It still makes me smile just to think about it.

Thank you for another great review! I like that you split the review and the adventure. Outstanding production as always.

Nice review Jamie! That model came with the new adaptive suspension right? How was it compared to the previous gen model that you rode on RideApart?

just think about the 17" inch front wheel of the duc in a loose gravel, bumpy road with deep holes for many miles...you got your answer there, for me this isn´t an offroad bike at all!!!, For that kind of use i highly recommend you a GS 800 or a Ktm 990 or a 690, those are still true adventure bikes.

sad it has such an ugly price tag, even $15000 base would be so much more acceptable, if you take this thing off road itl get damaged, and no one wants to damage a $17000 bike

Not a bad review, but you left out some of the biggest changes for the new 2013. All of the stuff you touched on can be found in any of the past generation reviews. Just saying

There are some reviews that really showcase the MTS1200's offroad capabilities. All of the reviewers were really surprised at how well the Duc held up against it's competitors. The MTS is capable, but probably not your best choice. I can take a $70,000 Ranger Rover off road, but I wouldn't recommend it. I consider my Multi more of a sport tourer/sportbike hunter!

One question, with the small buttons, I wonder how those work with leather gloves on
@Miata822
@Miata822 10 лет назад
Easy, just like a horn, turn signal, or starter button. Press in the turn signal repeatedly to toggle through riding modes, then hold to select. Button above turn signal toggles through odometer options. Button below the signal button toggles through the display on the right hand screen: Modes, Mileage (constant or average), Miles to empty, Duration of trip, and setup. All but the setup menu can be done easily while riding. Yesterday when riding I was caught in a sudden rain. I quickly toggled into "Urban" mode. I have this mode set for max TC and ABS for riding in slippery conditions.

If you think this review is good, check out the Gizmag review on the MTS1200. Granted it's the 2010 model, but THAT is the best review I've seen on this bike.

What about skyhook, the Sachs vs olhins was the biggest change from last year. Does it really work or just a gimmick?

One of the best bikes reviews on the net Jamie! congratulations! but do you really think this bike has any off-road pretention? i will like to see you review the new gs 1200 or the new ktm 1190, Thanks!!

Hi there, great video. I would like to have your opinion between MST 1200 and the new KTM 1190 adventure. I hesitate between these two eventhough that the KTM will be more suitable for off road. Do you think you would have been more comfy for this trip? Greetings from Switzerland.

Jamie how do think the Muliti will go next to the new Aprilia Caponord or the Triumph Tiger Sport, are you guys looking at doing a 3 way test on these great bikes.

Not as fun a video as your videos about your adventures- But I'm a Ducatisti, so loved every second of it.

Fantastic video as usual. I have a 2011 MTS and it is an exceptionally great bike. but Jamie a review of 2013 model with no mention of Skyhook! I think you should invite me to L.A. to ride some of those canyon roads as penance! keep up the great work you guys make the best vids and find some fantastic stories. Look forward to you getting hold of the new KTM1190.

I really enjoy the RideApart series. Haven't seen a new one for a while. Stumbled across this channel and was pleasantly surprised to find Jamie. Subscribed! This Ducati looks like a really well thought out machine. Would love to own one.

Do you think the Duc could last in heavier offroad trips over longer distances as well? Or are GS/Tenere/KTM still the way to go?
@nbwinn

Very impressive videos. You can tell that passion and care has gone into them. Production values much higher than MCN or any equivalent motorcycle channel. Just hope there will be a wider range of bikes covered but the style if fantastic.

Jamie, also what about the engine change, the twin spark? You missed two of the biggest changes.

In US, it costs around 17.000.. Here in brazil, where most of the people earn less than 600 dollars a month,, it will probably cost around 40.000 dollars.. I´m in love with this bike, but i will never have one.. =(
@Afonso2001br
@Afonso2001br 9 лет назад
No, in Brazil it costs US$ 25.800,00. It's still too much expensive, thanks to the high taxes we pay.
@Afonso2001br

I agree with almost everything he says about the bike, but two things I dislike in it: It vibrates too much and is too noisy.
@cmelochick
@cmelochick 9 лет назад
Too noisy... said no motorcycle rider ever!
@Afonso2001br
@Afonso2001br 9 лет назад
The 4 cylinder japanese bikes don't vibrate and are silent. Japanese bikes are the best of all.

My 1800cc Japanese V-Twin vibrates and makes a lot of noise...
@Afonso2001br
@Afonso2001br 9 лет назад
It vibrates because it has only 2 cylinders. Four cylinder bikes don't vibrate.
@cmelochick
@cmelochick 9 лет назад
Right, thus negating your assertion that Japanese bikes are the best based solely on origin. Furthermore, I've never seen a 4-cyl power ranger bike that didn't vibrate
