Ducati's best new bikes for 2024: which would you have?

Ducati was wowing the crowds at EICMA 2023, with a plethora of new and updated models making their first public appearance at the show. The star of the stand was probably the Ducati Panigale V4 SP2 30° Anniversario 916, although it was a much smaller capacity bike that caught our eye.
That was, of course, the new single-cylinder Hypermotard 698 Mono, and it's a bonkers 77.5bhp supermoto and becomes the most powerful single-cylinder bike you can go out and buy in 2024.
So that's our rundown of the best Ducati bikes revealed at EICMA 2024, what was your favourite?

I'm not sure I see the value in the 698 Mono, as spec for spec, the 950 is not much more expensive.

It is over 100 pounds lighter (332 lb vs 440 lb). That is massive. Even if the power to weight was better for the 950 at real world speeds the 698 might be more enjoyable to ride.

@@sburns2421 Might be, but at such a weight reduction (i.e less bike), I'd like to pay less money.

@@Otto-AutoPilot The base version is priced about the same as its main competition (KTM/Husky/Gas Gas 701 models). I would expect it to perform similarly as well. A well-ridden 701 will embarrass sport bike riders on tight roads. I get the lack of a cylinder, smaller cc, mentally you think it should be 2/3 the price of the 950.

@@sburns2421 Yep, pretty much. I'll try them both and see how they feel. I'm 6'4" so the hight of these appeals and I'm getting a bit old to be tucked forward on my CBR these days. Looking for something less cramped and more upright but still with plenty of wow factor and fun to ride. New Duke 990 might be worth a look.

I don't give a RATTS how much you pay for a bike in the canyons imma jump on a bone stock gsxr 1k and take you to school, PERIOD, only boys hangin in my back pocket are TT riders it seems? ... GIT SOME! down south in the canyons I school all those hi dollar ducks and aprils, yamms on a 97 SRAD 600... 15 yr old cooked dragons! NO JOKES! no need to pull out the FI 750 SRAD until I actually need an attack mode, the 600 SRAD or Buser does fine 95% of the time, we just keep getting faster and faster, no fookin idea why? to me the bike is like not even half of it, pretty sure I proved that schoolin all the new V4's and yams on the 24yr old 600, BONE STOCK . . . if you don't have a serious attack mode then you don't have a serious attack mode, it's a mode I can't seem to find the switch for? get on my rear and it just flips on like WTF? so keep pulling out that wallet and draining the bank machine, it's not going to make you faster, it's all a mirage

They all just seem to be way overpriced for what they are. Who would buy a new Monster when there's half a dozen other bikes that are clearly much, much better than them, and in all cases far cheaper, in the category? I'm sure they're all fine bikes. But, Ducati appear to be going down the rich boys plaything road, that daily riders rather despise. If I had all the riches in the world, I still wouldn't be attracted to the brand. And every new collaboration with 'exclusive' brands, confirms this for me. Triumph.....beware!

I wouldn't say overpriced for most of the top-of-the-line models. They have a premium product, taken up to 11 in some cases, and charge accordingly. I agree though that the Monster is underwhelming, this new under 1000cc version does not warrant the price they want. Put the Granturismo engine in a Monster or Supersport and they would sell all they can make at $19k. But the number of motorcyclists that can afford in the numbers Ducati needs to sell means they may be under pressure in future years to make cheaper models, or produce more in Asia. (It is odd Moto Morini is considered Chinese for designing in Italy and building in China, but when Ducati builds in Thailand no one mentions it)
