I knew this. I randomly started tapping the controls while my cousin was busy shooting, and noticed how I was actually controlling the ducks 🤣. I was in shock
The concept of the second player being the ducks was the main reasoning for both the dog and a duck being one character, to represent player one and two.
I feel like i remember that for some reason. My parents were cheap and got me the one without duck hunt and the blaster so i always had to goto friends to play but i feel like we used to do that to each other or im just hallucinating either way cool vid
Did you say that the second player controller can control the ducks? I thought the zapper only works if it gets plugged into player 2. Maybe, that's only on certain NES games, and one I know is Bayou Billy. I remember someone telling me that, and I think I also noticed that when testing them out.
@@LetsOpenOldStuff Oh wait, I think if I have a game I'm already playing, and I switch the controllers around in the middle of the game, it will not work. That might be the deal. I usually believed Player 1 always had the authority with choices to choose in the games when I was a kid. On Wii U, I think it works if you have a Wii Remote on to control the duck while the gamepad holder has to tap on the screen to shoot the ducks.
I used to use a controller to control the ducks on screen but Iwas confused on why the screen kept turning red whilst saying "Fly away" but now I know that a game model gun exists.
I found the Nintendo thing downstairs and I’m crossing my fingers that it will work it’s in pretty good. Condition and I bought the game so hopefully it works when it comes in
In SMB / Duck Hunt, it's the opposite. Player 1 can control the ducks while player 2 shOOts. If you do it with 1=Zapper 2=Controller nothing will work.
I've heard similar stories from other people. It's so funny to me that all it took to know a secret was to read the instruction manual. People had short attention spans even in the 80's.
Anyone can help me? I was told that this game doesnt work on the modern flatscreens these days because the gun doesnt work on them. Anyone find a work around?
@@LetsOpenOldStuff some person on the Internet did. I googled it before watching the video. Noticed a photo of the manual. (so yeah I didn't know it before that) Although in the past people did read manuals for games. But for duckhunt probably not.
You can control the ducks with a NES controller if it's connected to NES controller port 2. I've heard of that earlier. The NES is a childhood console that I never had. Because I was fascinated with the NES console and games as a child. I never had that console. I instead played NES games on an emulator on my Windows computers that ran on XP, 7, 8.1 and 10. I will get an NES console and games in the future, Insha Allah!
