This season has been tough with poor conditions and little migration, we decided to hit the road in search of colder temps and fresh birds. After trying a river loaf hunt, we switched gears and landed on the 'X' in a dry corn field loaded with mallards. Big feeder flocks dive bombing the decoy spread!

Pacific Flyway is where it's at, being from SC where we have 100 hunters to 1 duck, hunting out west in Idaho last week was truly a breath of fresh air. I was amazed at the amount of birds seen just driving down the highway, more than most of us see in years of hunting here. Awesome video too, funneling dry field mallards is something every waterfowl hunter should experience at least once.

Eric, Great video. Seems once the feed call stopped the birds would commit on their final approach.

If there is no wind , Ducks can definatly tell its someone calling. If its windy the call wont flair them. Depending on how close they are. But there are people that actually think they resemble a duck.

Ur “feeding” call is what’s flaring ducks.. not the cows! If u noticed the shoot at 10:26 no “feeding” call and they came right in!!?

We’ve had excellent luck with a fast/excited feed chatter, especially when hunting feed. It was hard to see but we had the cows knocking over decoys and standing in the decoys so we walked them out and once we did, the birds worked much, much better

Was able to get my first Goose ever yesterday in southern NM. You inspire me to get out and keep on hunting. Love to see some dog training. Watching a dog work with birds is amazing, and just love to hear sparkles called out.

Monday evening I was deer hunting a picked corn field stiff north wind snowing on and off. I had too set back and laugh finally at the Canadian geese wanting to land but just wouldn’t this went on for 2 hours it was cool watching them 👍✌🏻🇺🇸

reminds me of hunting our flooded field on the farm in the Mississippi river bottoms ..ten man limit in 1hour ,great video guys as aways love it

Don't be afraid to zoom out when the birds approach. Can't tell what the birds are doing when it's zoomed into like five birds in a flock of 200. Or show more footage from the GoPro

Awesome hunt as always, I'm intrigued by the calling of the birds. I hunt mainly from my boat, on Lake Okeechobee here in Florida, and I haven't, or know of anyone else who uses calls. I'm I missing something here? We usually always limit out quickly, my partner and I spread the decoys, having a heron confidence decoy out, and a trolling motor for a retriever...lol We have alot of ringbills, mallard, teal, and some wood duck, and yes, I've harvested a merganser. They are a beautiful mount. Love what you're doing ❤️, really enjoy the different hunt situations, cornfield setup is a favorite

I don't have a problem with killem, but to combat the anti hunter it would be better to say takem than when the anti hunter asks why do you say takem you can say I takem home to feed my family.
