Duck Hunting- Back Yard Mallards

Love your Goose videos! And thanks for not playing music while your hunting. So many people do that and I hate it! If I’m watching hunting videos it’s because I can’t get out there, I wanta feel like I’m there😊

Threw a few mallard floaters in my pool cover last March. Sure enough I had a pair come in during the mornings. They'd leave in the afternoon but everyday they came for about 3 months and we fed them corn. We were able to get about 2' away from them and feed them. We'd even be cutting the lawn around them and they would stay put. It's fun hunting them, but I love watching them hang out and have them like as our pets.

My grandpa has been pulling birds of the Mississippi for years always fun to watch excpessially when there is a hundred of them ..nice work on those honkers

One time at 15 years old I did this out on the lake by the refuge as I was decoying mallards DNR approached we talked and he explained to me I was breaking the law by being in the "act of hunting" he did not write me a ticket but I never went back out and did it again just because. Crazy! Sweet vid as always.

Awesome video joe! It's David Goos here and I've been fortunate enough to live in an area that's awesome for doing this kind of stuff. I've done it ever since I was a little kid in the spring. I have a ton of video of some awesome groups of geese landing in my back yard! Awesome video joe!

In the spring if you have a low spot that gets flooded put floaters in it and call in the morning and at dusk.

I have done that years I live in upper Michigan love mallards in the snow I have had geese circle but never land

I have a corn field behind my house and last yead it was beans. I landed a single goose our first day doing it. Then when i got some snow i trafficed a group of 250 geese and pulled 3 down. I havent got the ducks yet but i did worck about 1000 snow geese and a couple of specs

You could also do some pigeon hunting in the off-season, they decoy just like ducks.

Do a backyard duck and goose hunt with a bow or pellet gun something lol

I want to see more back yard mallards and. Try and feed them wheat or peanuts

So this might sound really f**ked up but a old guy told me that if you get 1 or a pair of ducks to eat the corn and fly back to their roost and take a s**t that the other ducks smell the corn in the s**t and then more follows them each day lol not even s**ting you .. that's something to think about lmao 🍻
