You don’t need to call ducks in the prairie pothole region when hunting water from SD all the way into Canada. Leave the calls at home. The ducks will work right into the dekes if you don’t call and you will have a better hunt. To prove my point, go listen to ducks on a pothole and compare the sounds to the constant “blabbing” of you guys. It’s obnoxious to the ducks and they avoid it…. Total silence. Try it.

October 19th for Ohio then closes October 27th. Then opens again November 16th and closes January 5th. Goose runs longer until Feb 3rd I think.

Next Tuesday is opener and I’m getting stoke. Put some time in shooting clay this past week to warm up with the new shotgun. Hopefully going to have a good early season here in Maine.
