Absolutely, he is a class player. But t20 and hundred cricket is just hit out or get out and go again. In the test series in India, he slogged it away a few times. Great inspiration for British Asians as well, he did a great interview on sky, himself and Adil Rashid.

I only watch because of the names playing also. No idea who is doing what in the tournament and don’t care. The blast and one day cup far better cricket. All the format changes do nothing to improve the game.

@@ruesmale6940 absolutely, I don't even follow those competitions very closely but with a county, if you're a fan you know almost everyone in the squad, watch them play week in week out, they are part of a team with a clear distinct identity that fans can grow attached to. I don't see that kind of attachment forming when everyone's just getting together for a few weeks once a year to put on the silly crisp shirts and play 5 ball overs because... Why again?

Ben Stokes dismissal was very planned with setup really, he would rather settle up then came his bat against good lengthen bowl with swing in it is very unimportant to get like a cancel off the batter😢😢.

Love Nicky P but as long as you don't offer him space over to the legside then your in the money. Just like to also stress that I'm not a northern superchargers fan, just a fan of the hundred format (also a spirit fan but slightly embarrassed to say so this hundred season 😂😂) Edited this comment to also say a well played innings by the phoenix did a great job of stifling the superchargers of runs and forcing the errors. Great cricket, warranting a tip of the proverbial hat

This seasons hundred has been a flop so far on the whole. While we don't want the bat to completely dominate there has been so many games that are arduous and turgid because the ball is just not coming onto the bat or it's moving around loads. Turned this game off after 70 balls as it was dire to watch.

Agreed, watched Oval Inv. bowl five after five of spin, flat & quick just to thwart the strokeplay at Old Traff today. Thought 100 was meant to be spectator friendly with its thrills...it's hardly that this season, unfortunately the T20s, which were a good intro for younger viewers are going the same way. 🤔

Well it's mainly cos the the USA T20 comp is on at the same time and knicked all the best Aussies, RSA's, kiwis, Indians and Caribbean players for way more 💰 💵💰💵 . Massive shame as it's heavily diluted the talent on show, quality of the matches and comp in general. If anything the tightest and more interesting games too watch (no matter how shambolic and comedic they can be at times😅😂) have been the low scoring women's matches. way closer and more competitive...

Rubbish match Awful commentary. Hysterical screaming about nothing. The hundred is tedious, low scoring rubbish. Watched a a number of county 50 over matches on BBC internet feed via RU-vid. Despite having to field many reserve players because of the 100 it has produced close fought games. Also understated, professional commentary.
