The ending speech of the prototype version is the greatest thing ever. "There really is more important treasure than this. That is... Dream and Friends."
actually, luigis mansion had the same type of bad ending, luigi doesn't get a house he has to live in a tent. it is the closest thing to a bad ending, and the only way to get it is by never collecting anything but king boo's crown
One game that kind of has a "hard-to-get ending" in the beginning of the game is Final Fantasy Tactics - it involves losing the very first battle, which is actually very hard to do because the AI companions are extremely powerful and kill the enemies very easily.
Scrooge is such a miserly badass that it takes WORK to keep him broke. It blew my mind upon learning this ending and the money cheat were there this entire time.
Thats what makes it sad....He has only his nephews. It makes him feel happy, like when he dives into his gold pool...Basically happy. So he feels rich to have them around....it really is the saddest ending ever.
@@0MochiCoconut0 Its also accurate to Ducktales aswell. I mean he still loves being rich dont get me wrong, but sometimes having people around you is more valuable than... just money
I’ve never played the original. Only the remaster. I’m surprised at how different they are! Besides having less story, money is handled differently, and Scrooge actually gets to keep the treasures! In the remaster Magica destroyed them to summon Dracula Duck.
The "I really am the richest duck in the world." Part makes this the saddest........Because he KNOWS he has no money but all his nephews is what he has left. Having them makes him feel happy, like when he is rich. It justs makes this sad... ARE YOU FEELING PROUD OF YOURSELF!? YOU MADE SCROOGEMCDUCK HAVE DEPPRESION! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!?
Late comment sorry (1 year...); In the newspaper it implies that he uses the treasures to get his fortune back. And I actually like what it says; "I really am the richest duck in the world", as he appreciates his siblings help through the adventure!
I came here from a Nintendo Minute video where one of the guys says he had nightmares about the ending of this game when he was small? I don't get how?
@ 1:02 Is it the same music in the good ending? Cause i find it kinda creepy. Also, it kinda looks like Scrooge are about to jump from a building, wich is disturbing.
Scrooge: "I really am the richest duck in the world" Me: Hey Scrooge, did you read the Duck Press? Scrooge: No, why? Me: "Scrooge looses fortune" Scrooge: I want a F! I want a U! I want a C! I want a K! I want a space! I want a M! I want a E! How does that spell? Fuck me!
Scrooge: i really am the richest duck in the world. Scrooge: looks in vault Scrooge:... Scrooge: WHERE THE HELL IS MY MONEY!? Scrooge: life isn't worth living. Scrooge: Restarts everything Scrooge: still broke! Scrooge's kids: don't be sad. Scrooge: I hate my life. Scrooge: jumps off building but does not die Scrooge: shit. Scrooge: shoots gun at head and dies Scrooge's kids: WAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!
Scrooge: I Really Am The Richest Duck In The World *Look In His Valt* Scrooge:No Money?... WHY I CAN'T DO ENYTHING RIGHT!? Also Scrooge: I want to cry now, I really do.
Moar Mosspato Productions I know this comment is ironic, but I've always intended this sentence as he was referring to his beloved nephiews, who are really the greatest treasure! (As matter of fact he states that after the guys remind him they helped). I don't really know if this is a fact or just my impression
Lost all fortune and glumgold is the richest duck in the world, yet scrooge lies to his nephews that he is the richest duck in the world.Recieves the bad ending.
All these years I didn't know I could spend the money by pressing select to refill the life. I had the regular and great ending but could never get the bad ending.
I got this ending a while ago, and it was a bit easier than I thought it would be. I just checked how much money I would collect during a typically visit to The Moon, and then made sure to pay attention to what I was collecting on the other stages before I played that stage and how many points I got for the remaining time (100 points per second).
*SCROOGE LOOSES FORTUNE BUT FINDS TREASURES! SCROOGE MCDUCK HAS LOST HIS FORTUNE IN HIS SEARCH FOR THE LEGENDARY FIVE TREASURES. HE WILL USE THEM TO REBUILD HIS EMPIRE. YOU'RE A MASTER TREASURE HUNTER* .
YOU GUYS WITH THE NES VERSIONS WERE LUCKY. IN THE REMASTERED VERSION, YOU HAVE TO CLIMB A BUNCH OF USELESS THINGS JUST T' GET THE DIME, AND EVEN AFTER THAT, YA HAD TO CLIMB MORE THINGS!
